Dexter?

I've always liked this name as it's a character from one of my favourite books of all time, but is it doable for a baby or is it a dogs name?!

Biased here but I love it.

I watched Dexter's Lab as a kid and loved that

I watched Dexter the serial killer series and loved that (currently watching it again)

My Dexter is also awesome.

For me it is indelibly linked to the TV serial killer. Now as serial killers go he was played sympathetically..

But seriously, ephemeral connections like that fade very quickly. For a name for a lifetime choose it if you love it.

I love it and DH wanted it for our next baby although we ended up choosing something else.

My consultant obstetrician has the first name Dexter and it made DH like it even more because this doctor is such a cool guy and it helped imagine a Dexter who is not a TV character!

I love it, but I'm slightly biased... We use Dex or Dexy a lot. And we got the idea from watching the TV show. But stopped watching after we decided it really was a contender for us.

Love it, our two year old is Dexter! It really suits him and it's unusual enough for me without being too 'out there' for my husband!

I like the name Dexter, I know two (one 5 and one 12) and they are both lovely boys.

I love it - High Society is my all time favourite film and I always swore I would name my son Dexter.

My OH veto'd it immediately, I was heartbroken. Dex is such a cute NN.
