Would like opinions and ratings on these names for girls (why are girls names so damn hard to pick?!)

Rosalie (favourite at the moment)
Bethan
Lavender
Ophelia
Yasmina
Coralina (NOT Carolina)
Elisa
Islabelle

Rosalie, Elisa and Lavender are really lovely :)

I don't like Ophelia (it does sound nice, but eh....) and Yasmina. Isabella is really pretty but so popular.

As long as you don't have an Edward and a Rosalie or a Rosalie and a Bella (which probably has happened to some parents, seeing as Isabella and Edward are both popular names....). I honestly didn't even think of twilight when I saw the name.

Clary... That's my argument to him but he even refuses the name Harry for a boy due to Harry Potter. Or Luna because of that too lol.

Well, Luna is imo really a very Harry Potter name...

Rosalie and Bethan are beautiful. I really don't like Coralina, it sounds off and as you already point out, your DC will spend their life correcting people who say Carolina, and the same goes for Islabelle, people will forever say Isabelle.

Lavender would get 'Lav' for short, so no. And Islabelle isn't a name is it? Unless you meant Isabella?

I adore Lavender, we seriously considered it for DD but I too couldn't get my head around the fact her nickname would be Lav!!

I like Rosalie and Elisa.
Lavender is a no because of Lav.
I prefer Bethany to Bethan.
Islabelle just sounds made up.
I prefer Coraline to Coralina.
I prefer Jasmine to Yasmina.
Ophelia is just too..much.

Elisa is lovely. Bethan is pretty - for some reason I like it a lot more than Bethany. Rosalie is OK. Not at all keen on the others - Islabelle looks like a misspelling of Isabella.

The only one I like is Ophelia, but I think it's fairly unusable due to its Hamlet connotation and the "A feel of ya..." teasing potential

Bethan - nice
Lavender - quite cool but wouldn't chose it myself
Ophelia - too 'posh' for my taste
Yasmina - ok
Coralina - I actually really like this
Elisa - ok
Islabelle - I really like the way this sounds although the spelling bothers me as it does look like a mis-spelling of Isabelle. Perhaps Isla-Belle?

Bethan looks unfinished. Bethany is better.
Prefer Eliza to Elisa.
Jasmine is nice. Had a friend called Coral .
Lavendar to much like a toilet!!

I also prefer Isla-Belle or Isla Belle to Islabelle....

Rosalie and Lavender are both really lovely names.

Rosalie is my favourite too. Bethan and Elisa are also lovely.
