Help! Girls names!

I currently have a boy & 2 girls and I've just found out I'm having another girl!

I've had my boys name including middle names set for 5 years but have always struggled with girls names...

I like classic (aka fairly boring names - think top 20-50) names that can be shortened.

My other 2 girls are Annabel & Charlotte. My son has a popular, classic name.

I do like Alice but don't want the name to begin with the same letter as one of her sisters...

The 2 names that I would consider at the moment are:

Beatrice/Beatrix nn. Bea
Emiliana (I can't have Emilia/Amelia) nn. Emmy

I like Jemima and Alice too but won't use them...

I know Emiliana is seen as frilly and a bit pretentious but is it really that bad?

Any other suggestions?? I don't like Catherine, Francesca, Elizabeth...which all would fit but just not that keen.

Love your girls names! We have a Helena nn Nell/Nellie but also considered Edith, Alexandra/ria, Philippa/Pippa.

From your list Beatrice is lovely but I Emiliana a mouthful and she'll be spelling it forever (one 'L' or two, one 'N' or two).

My dsis is an Emily and everyone calls her Emmy, I love Matilda but whole family hate it !!!

WyfOfBathe · 24/03/2017 16:35

Sorry, x-post about Emmeline & Harriet

WyfOfBathe · 24/03/2017 16:35

I like Beatrice or Beatrix.

I really don't like Emiliana, it's just too much of a mouthful for me. I do like Emmy though. What about Emmeline?

Other names:
Madeleine (Maddie)
Eleanor/Elenora (Ellie)
Rebecca (Becca/Becky)
Henrietta/Harriet (Hettie/Hattie)
Liliana (Lily)

I can think of other names but they all start with C like Charlotte: Caroline, Cassandra, Clementine

Not that keen on the other 2...I do really like the nn. Emmy but not keen on Emma on its own or Emmeline (-een or -line pronunciations)...

Thanks for coming back to me.

Unfortunately I can't have Isabel or Harriet as they are already very similar names to children in my immediate family..

Gosh it would've been so much easier having a boy!!

Harriet
Tabitha
Isabel
Mariella

Not keen on Emiliana, haven't heard it before but don't like it if I'm honest.
