Fake names for nosey people?

Did you come up with a fake name to give to the nosey parkers who wouldn't stop asking about the name?

Wow, I have never heard telling people your baby's name after it's born described as either 'precious' or 'a big reveal'. In fact I've never had anybody tell me beforehand what they are going to call their baby - I just think that's normal. I also know a lot of people who didn't find out the baby's sex. Is that precious too?

never tell your actual chosen name before baby is born. Otherwise you'll find yourself on AIBU in a months time squawking about how your sister's friend's dog 'stole' your name.

Friends dd still calls him it and he is a toddler now!!
Ds 6 told everyone with such expression the name he was believed!!

No big reveal, just didn't decide until they were born so nothing to tell.

It was never a 'reveal' in our case.
1st - hadn't quite decided
Others- going a bit alternative and didn't want the bollocky opinions beforehand. People tend to be a lot more forgiving of your choice once the name is actually attached to a lovely squishy baby.

Plus, all you have to do is read on here about people having their heart set on a particular name, only for it to be taken by someone close to them. Now that wouldn't bother me personally but I know it has really distressed others.

Dave and Damien was intended to be an Only Fools and Horses theme but some people didn't realise and still try to call them that

I did tell one trusted friend, just in case the initials made an embarrassing acronym or there were any bad connotations that I hadn't noticed.

We don't find out during the pregmamcy but do like to wind certain family members up. They are stolen from the tv programme Milly Molly, Albert Roger (actually not an awful name) for a boy & Albertina Rogerella for a girl

We didn't know the sex so just said we'd be waiting to see what they looked like when they were born. Didn't really discuss it between ourselves either.

Genuine question... why not tell the truth? I've know people keep a name secret and build it up and then it's named something obvious. I was expecting something like baby Zeus!
Is it incase someone pinches it? Or is rude?
