Which spelling do you like?
Rebecca is more common whereas Rebekah is the Hebrew biblical way

Rebecca. Looks much friendlier and happy.

When your Rebecca is older she will decide which deriviative she'd like to be known by! (Becs, Becca - NOT Becky)

The original Biblical spelling thing doesn't really work, what with Hebrew having a different alphabet. I suppose it could mean the St James spelling, or the most respected transliteration.

I am a Rebecca, it doesn't matter how it's spelt - people will still get it wrong! 2 b's, 1 c etc. Having said that, my whole life there have been other Rebecca's at work/school etc. So would of been nice to have the other spelling, even if it was just to be known as 'Rebekah with the k' Smile

I'm not a fan of Rebecca. It looks a bit bland. I'm not sure why, tbh (but it's still a nice choice)

I'm a ''kah'. Religious mother. People spell it wrong (not just the cca way, when you correct "oh no, its kah, they panic and dont listen even when you're spelling it out for them") and it's never been written on a headband/pencil case etc "my" way. That said, I like it because it's mine 😊 (and I suppose I can be spiky when I'm in a bad mood!)

I prefer Rebecca, at a push. But also love Rebekah. Great name, you can't go wrong.

I don't mind it spelled Bek or Beks for me (spelling Rebekka) again for close friends only. Otherwise I'm Bekki

I'm another Rebecca and prefer the original spelling, perhaps it's because I'm not keen on people assuming that I'm a 'Becca'.

emilybrontescorset Rebekah is the Old Testament spelling (from the Hebrew Rivkah); Rebecca is the Graeco-Roman New Testament spelling.

OP my name is Rebecca and it's served me very well - good choice Wink As PP's have said, no one can spell it anyway (Rebbeca is the bane of my life), so just go with whichever you prefer the look of.

I'm Rebecca. Would hate the other way. It was hard learning to spell just that when I was little let alone with a kah!
