He's the slightly creepy night manager in Gilmore Girls who wants Michel's job.

3littlerabbits · 18/03/2017 20:50

Love it. Cute but works for adult too. I've heard of the serial killer but wouldn't make the connection and still don't now it's even mentioned.

Hateloggingin · 18/03/2017 20:44

Serial killer

TempsPerdu · 18/03/2017 20:41

Not sure about Tobin, but I quite like Torin and Tobias.

JennyHolzersGhost · 18/03/2017 20:13

Named after a tax ?

octoberfarm · 18/03/2017 20:11

Going against the grain here to say I love it - we're considering it too - but I don't live in the UK so the hope is the serial killer issue won't arise. I think it gives Toby a more grown up twist, is quirky but not completely batty, and I prefer it to Tobias.

I actually really dislike surname first names! Didn't put 2 and 2 together with this one that it was a surname. And such a shit one!

pictish · 18/03/2017 19:56

How about Torin instead?

pictish · 18/03/2017 19:55

No. Peter Tobin.
It's a nice enough name...but Peter Tobin. So no.

BWatchWatcher · 18/03/2017 19:54

Also know it as the surname of a serial killer from near here and that's what immediately comes to mind. I don't like it at all.

GeillisTheWitch · 18/03/2017 18:48

Nope, makes me think of the murderer. Tobias instead?

OccasionalNachos · 18/03/2017 18:48

Yeah, serial killer. Still quite recent.

Sweetpotatoaddict · 18/03/2017 18:47

Yip serial killer was my first thought too, sorry. But perhaps not known outside Scotland?

Palomb · 18/03/2017 18:47

Serial killer for me too.
