Me and my husband cannot agree a baby name HELP?!?!

I've suggested Sol (which j have been secretly calling baby).... he's suggested names I can't pronounce like Laye "Li-ah" , Bosso and Iso....I don't know 😫
Our other son is called Orson, his children from previous relationship are boys Ayoh and Tayah....
Suggestions please!!! Everything I've suggested is vetoed 😦

Trouble with Yves is that people may hear Eve (which is a pretty popular girls' name)

beebee82 · 18/03/2017 21:37

Loves Yves!! I like so many names x

Sol is lovely but possibly don't call him Sol if you're from Liverpool or another area where your family are likely to prefix names with "our ..." as in "our Suzie". It's an unfortunate combination with Sol as an old friend found out, after she'd named the baby and gone to visit family Blush

If your relatives don't do this it's not an issue - and a beautiful name!

theothercatpurred · 18/03/2017 21:05

Some Cameroonian names / names popular in Cameroon (according to the Internet)

Kendis
Alphonsius - you could havecNN Alfie
Aubin (lovely sounding name IMO although be aware it means white coloured - you may or may not think that'a a good thing?)

Ozias
Kofi

Disclaimer I have no idea how much these are actually used in Cameroon - simply picking ones I think sound lovely / fit the bill from Internet lists of Cameroonian names

beebee82 · 18/03/2017 21:03

Thank you! I'm going to suggest Marlowe to him, I think Sol Marlowe sounds lovely..,

What about shai instead of shea?

I love Asa but it was vetoed.
I am not keen on Sol. Beautiful baby.

beebee82 · 18/03/2017 20:48

Not a fan of the name Adam, and Cobi is great but kind of rhymes with our surname with ends with "mi"

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 18/03/2017 20:46

Beautiful boy! Sol is sweet.

Adam or Cobi?
