Cameron is currently top of our list for DC2. I know a Ciaran at work (SE England) and almost everyone calls him key-ah-ran.

I'd not associate Cameron with David Cameron at all, probably because I'm in Scotland and it's a popular first name and has been for many years so I associate it with the Camerons I know rather than DC.

Ciaran means the little dark one - I have a Ciar instead as he wasn't and isn't little. We have that name as when it came to the last two names on our list, DH wanted Ciaran and I wanted Keir. We compromised.

Personally I like Ciaran over Kieran too.

have to be careful saying you judge or have assumptions based on your experiences with names because theres another thread where people claim they never do it and people who do are mean

We thought about Cameron but it had a strange meaning think it was bent nose?? It's a lovely name though
