Girls name - stuck!

Satsumadreams99 · 14/03/2017 15:01

So baby no 3 has no name yet... she has two big brothers with traditional names. I like our shortlist as they all have grown up versions as well as the cute 'ie' names.

Shortlist is:

Katie
Gracie
Georgie
Rosie

Would Georgie sound like we have 3rd boy? Is Rosie too girly? Will Katie just remind me of Katie Hopkins/Price? Is Grace on its own too harsh sounding?

Help!

I guess I envisioned a Rosie to have fair hair and rosy cheeks!

Dark hair and olive skin... Why wouldn't it suit her?

I'm not sure I understand the concern, tbh. Rose is a lovely name and I don't think somebody needs to look a certain way to suit it.

ChippieBeanAndHorro · 14/03/2017 16:43

I really like Georgia and Rose. :)

I don't think Grace would be a nice middle name for a girl called Rose (or vice versa, tbh)

Satsumadreams99 · 14/03/2017 16:39

Thanks all - I do think Rose/Rosie is one of my favourites but, and this may be irrelevant but dd has dark hair and olive skin so would Rosie perhaps not suit???

Rose wins my vote

BasicBetty · 14/03/2017 15:59

Grace/Gracie or
Rose/Rosie

I like them all, but those are the best IMO

If your boys are William and Henry, then don't choose Kate!

Pallisers · 14/03/2017 15:14

They are all lovely - like your long versions too. I am not a fan of shortened names as the full name but I think Kate has actually jumped the barrier into a name of its own. Although I would use Georgiana instead of Georgia but that would be because it would be a chance to give a nod to Jane Austen

I'd probably chose Rose myself but all 4 are lovely.

TeenAndTween · 14/03/2017 15:12

I would give the longer 'full' version as suggested above Katherine, Georgina / Georgiana, Rosemary, etc (unless you really don't like it) and then you can use either shortening.

heateallthebuns · 14/03/2017 15:12

All nice but I'd go Georgina for full name of Georgie.

GeekGoddess · 14/03/2017 15:10

I love Rose Smile, with Grace a close second. They are all nice op, although Georgia is my least favourite.

Congratulations!

sonlypuppyfat · 14/03/2017 15:09

Grace Rose is nice

Satsumadreams99 · 14/03/2017 15:08

So the full names would be

Kate
Grace
Georgia
Rose

I just can't decide between them!

How about Katharine, Georgina or Rose?
