I have a very gorgeous 6 week old little boy but he doesn't have a name :(

He is 6 weeks old tomorrow and we do have an appointment to register him but I am crossing my fingers that I'm able to change it.

The issue is that we just can't agree. My favourite name is Elliot but he doesn't like it and his favourite is Montgomery (I had never heard of this name before I met him). He seems to like really over the top 'posh' names? Confused my offer was Hugo - I thought that was an amazing compromise! He doesn't like that Confused

I'm struggling massively SadSadSad

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Grayson?

tootiredforwords · 13/03/2017 20:07

How about:

Albert
Aubrey
Clement
Joseph
Laurence

Hysterectomyhysteria · 13/03/2017 20:06

You do know that you don't have to register a name at 6 weeks don't you? You can just register the birth and you have a year to register a name.
I didn't register DD2 name for 12 weeks.

James indeed is a beautiful name. Also Milo and Leo. I also like Elliott. It is really hard to name a baby! I totally understand.

SirNiallDementia · 13/03/2017 20:06

Right we need to keep trying then. This baby needs a name!

Rufus
Frederick
Dashiel
Inigo
Arlo
Miles
Stellan
Ivo
Jasper

tootiredforwords · 13/03/2017 20:06

Beautiful picture!

Andbabymakesthree · 13/03/2017 20:05

He's gorgeous. Just get an extension on the registration. It's fine :-)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/03/2017 20:05

Aww, what a beautiful little baby, adorable he is !
I think he suits Evan.

GirlElephant · 13/03/2017 20:05

He is beautiful!

5BlueHydrangea · 13/03/2017 20:05

Elliott is my favourite boys name. If I have a son he will be Elliott James.
Elliott Montgomery has a nice ring to it though.

Or... Edwin, Sebastian, Alexander, Fergus, Charles..

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/03/2017 20:04

Edmund is a fabulous name OP ⭐️

BabyBoy2017 · 13/03/2017 20:02

DH thinks most of these aren't "strong" enough HmmHmm (Edward, James, Oliver, etc.) I like them all. What a stupid comment!! They're strong names!

@hooties yes! I have a great pic to show. It's my absolute favourite picture in the world.

Elliot is lovely, but I'd struggle not to abbreviate and Ellie isn't great for a boy. Makes me think of ET though, which is good.

SirNiallDementia · 13/03/2017 19:59

Cassian/ Cassius
Jago
Lyle
Kester
Roan
Theodore/ Theo

hooties · 13/03/2017 19:58

Any pics to help?? Wink

ninnypoo · 13/03/2017 19:54

Ralph?

TheresHensInTheSkirting · 13/03/2017 19:52

Mortimer?
As a previous poster suggested all posh people are called Tim

Petalbird · 13/03/2017 19:51

Montgomery makes me think of star trek as it's Scottys first name not sure how many people would make that connection but some would as it's unusual

TheOnlyColditz · 13/03/2017 19:49

Oh god, both my sons' names have come up here, as has my brother's. We really are not a posh family, I promise!

How about Lloyd? Or Laurence?

moodyblues · 13/03/2017 19:48

Yes, I agree with StruggleAvenue, Monty is a dogs name.

youarenotkiddingme · 13/03/2017 19:47

I love Elliot and Monty

Charles (Charlie)
Edward (Eddie, Ted/Teddy)
(For names with nice man)

James, Henry, Will, Toby for non shortening names.

LorLorr2 · 13/03/2017 19:44

Also, Oliver- you could call him Ollie/Olly and your husband could stick to the full name. If you don't mind a very popular name.

MollyHuaCha · 13/03/2017 19:44

Gorgeous names coming up. Maybe just agree to select from this thread to reduce the choice? Hopefully they'll be one or two you both love. Good luck Bear

StruggleAvenue · 13/03/2017 19:42

If this helps you sway DH - my mate has a bounding springer spaniel called Monty that insists on humping everything in sight. Wink
