I have a very gorgeous 6 week old little boy but he doesn't have a name :(

He is 6 weeks old tomorrow and we do have an appointment to register him but I am crossing my fingers that I'm able to change it.

The issue is that we just can't agree. My favourite name is Elliot but he doesn't like it and his favourite is Montgomery (I had never heard of this name before I met him). He seems to like really over the top 'posh' names? Confused my offer was Hugo - I thought that was an amazing compromise! He doesn't like that Confused

I'm struggling massively SadSadSad

Edmund Robert would be an absolutely superb name.

elizabethdraper · 13/03/2017 22:44

Tobias

LionsTeeth · 13/03/2017 22:44

Alistair

wobblywonderwoman · 13/03/2017 22:39

John

NennyNooNoo · 13/03/2017 22:37

We had the same problem with DS2's name. Took us nearly 6 weeks to decide by which time we'd come round full circle back to the name we'd started with before he was born. He was just called 'the baby' for the first 5 weeks and 6 days.

MadisonAvenue · 13/03/2017 22:35

He is absolutely gorgeous!

Has Emmett been mentioned?

DollySaves · 13/03/2017 22:34

Seb/ Sebastian?
Charlie / Charles?
Reuben?
Tommy?
Oscar?
Zack / Zack?
Ray?

Robert with Bertie as a nickname is lovely! I think he looks more like an Elliot or Isaac though, sorry!

Pleasejustgetdressed · 13/03/2017 22:27

Sebastian/Seb
Nathaniel/Nate
Alexander/Alex

WankersHacksandThieves · 13/03/2017 22:27

He's not a Robert. I'd don't have too much objection to it as a name in itself, but he's definitely not a Robert.

NoCapes · 13/03/2017 22:27

Samuel?

TwentyCups · 13/03/2017 22:27

I think he might be an Isaac.

capercaillie · 13/03/2017 22:26

I like Robert and Robbie is cute. Robin also a lovely boys name.

He doesn't look like a Monty. I'm not sure about Elliott. Like Edmund though.

Congratulations - he's a gorgeous baby!!

gaaahhhh · 13/03/2017 22:25

Robert and call him Bobby! Cute! (or was there a bobby in EastEnders?)

Nospringflower · 13/03/2017 22:25

Robert is terrible!

gaaahhhh · 13/03/2017 22:23

Xpost Ruth!! Same taste!

NoCapes · 13/03/2017 22:23

No to Robert
That's an ugly middle aged mans name
Not that beautiful squishy boys name

gaaahhhh · 13/03/2017 22:23

Elijah? Its a little like Elliot.

NO to Montgomory. I just think of the Simpsons and Mr Burns!!!

Samson or

Sebastian?

BabyBoy2017 · 13/03/2017 22:20

Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions.

What do you think of Robert?

I love Rupert, Hugo and Seb.

Have to say it - your baby is ridiculously cute. That photo of him is just gorgeous! He will be fine with whichever name you choose.

GoodnightSeattle · 13/03/2017 22:14

Montague is a good compromise and has a nice literary connection!
