I have loved this name for months and months. Now due date is near and I am having second thoughts. Opinions?

I am one, hated it as a kid, never met another one my age but have heard children called it recently. I could never ever find a cup or a badge with my name on it!

Thirtyrock39 · 25/03/2017 23:06

I like it but I do think of sid and Nancy.

Jumpolining · 25/03/2017 23:05

It's a yes from me Star

Reow · 25/03/2017 23:02

Love it!

skankingpiglet · 25/03/2017 22:59

I love it. It was my aunt's name and I would have happily used it, but it seemed like it was becoming a bit too popular in these parts so it didn't make the shortlist.

Ellypoo · 22/03/2017 22:32

My dd1 was Constance nn Nancy - absolutely love it

Sunshineandlaughter · 22/03/2017 22:24

Do you have any other options in case she doesn't suit it?

Nadia
Nadine
Nia
Darcy
narissa

Or maybe something like Nanette so you can nn Nancy or Etta?

Agnes and Martha also have the official nn of Nancy even though they don't seem related

Nancy will get called nan at school

Rockaby · 22/03/2017 18:54

I love it!

gummi Why doesn't it travel well? Feel I am missing something obvious!

indigo13 · 22/03/2017 09:32

Love it, its feminine and suits all ages

buttercup54321 · 21/03/2017 11:07

Horrid. We used to sing a song at school Go and tell Aunt Nancy the old grey goose is dead. So perhaps that's why I don't like it!

WheresMaHairyToe · 21/03/2017 10:22

Love it. You could go for Anne as birth cert name, it's a diminutive of that.

1nsanityscatching · 21/03/2017 10:19

Really lovely name one of the prettier "old lady" names I think.

mum2be2boys · 21/03/2017 10:13

Lovely name! :-)

Nancy91 · 19/03/2017 16:32

I think it's a great name Wink

BAR91 · 19/03/2017 16:27

I like it. Not common but not overly "out there" either.

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 15/03/2017 12:23

Nancy Blackett, Nancy Drew. Great associations.

GreedyDuck · 15/03/2017 12:20

It's top on my girls name list. I know several in their 30s and 40s and think it's a beautiful name that suits small girls and grown women.

Chocolatecake12 · 13/03/2017 20:19

Love it!

MamaHanji · 13/03/2017 12:38

I love it.

Neither of my children are often called by their real name anyway! My Alice is called squish and my Eliza is called num num. Don't ask me why. I have no idea.

Theyhaveallbeenused2 · 13/03/2017 11:53

Love it if wanted to use it but ex said no

Cosybythefire · 13/03/2017 11:52

I love Nancy.

Weebleswobbles · 13/03/2017 11:43

Lovely!

Gummibears · 13/03/2017 11:43

It also doesn't travel well into other languages, which may or may not bother you.

DramaAlpaca · 13/03/2017 11:38

I don't like it at all, sorry.

Gummibears · 13/03/2017 11:37

I don't find it feminine at all, sorry
