Thanks. I don't like Lisbeth (too much like Elspeth. I'm related to a horrible and hypocritical Elspeth) and Elisa sounds too much like Lisa.

Susanna/h - yes I like this, quite unusual now. Also like Suzie
Arielle - yuk yuk
Ariella - yuk yuk
Millicent - no way
Helena - timeless & classic
Eliana - ok. Prefer Ilana or Lana though
Amynta - no way
Serena - no
Louisa - OK but boring
Annabella - no, too many syllables
Annabelle - much better
Erika - no
Antonia - ok

I like Antonia and Serena. The others are a bit wet/nothing-ey to my taste. Milicnt is dreadful.

Sorry. I just... Idk why I had such a bad reaction to that name. But I think I visibly cringed when reading it. I'm honestly not sure why I have such a bad image of the name Jacquelina. Blush

So, Carina has been taken off the list. So has Annabelle, Ariella, Annabelle and most likely Annabella. And probably also Eliana.It's beautiful but maybe a bit too soft/elaborate/frilly.

The current list I'll have to ponder and annoy DH with ;) is:

Elisabeth (I don't like it with the z. Is it too weird? The z sounds bad in German imo)
Susanna/h
Millicent
Helena
Amynta
Serena
Louisa
Erika Erica
Antonia

Carina - don't like it
Susanna/h - nice biblical name and I like the nickname Susie
Arielle - looks like Ariel and so I immediately think of the mermaid.
Ariella - don't like this
Millicent - like the Millie bit but not the cent and unless you're calling her by her full name I would just go with Millie/Milly.
Helena - beautiful if pronounced Hel-en-a. I don't like I pronounced Hel-ay-na
Eliana - I have a friend called this and she gets Ellie mostly. She is half-Iranian so it really suits her complexion
Amynta - sounds like a shortening of Araminta.
Serena - makes me think of Gossip Girl which isn't good but also Serena Williams which is.
Louisa - sounds nice
Annabella - too much of a mouthful
Annabelle - not my style, but not unpleasant - nice nickname in Annie
Erika - better spelt Erica
Antonia - will be shortened to Toni which is really chavvy.

Carina - yes, all I can think is car. How about Corrine as an alt?
Susanna/h - could be ok, quite like Susie as nn
Arielle - no due to Disney connection & washing
Ariella - ditto
Millicent - too twee
Helena - a name for a very sensible little girl
Eliana - no
Amynta - i cannot work out how to pronounce so no
Serena - tennis player
Louisa - nice, classic
Annabella - twee
Annabelle - twee
Erika - hard
Antonia - dislike Toni & Ants as nn

Carina - car but also a term of endearment in Italian. Would be like calling a child 'sweetie' or 'dearest' and would be odd
Susanna/h - more commonly used with a z. Like it with an s but she will probably ending up correcting people all her life
Arielle - Quite like it but don't like the way certain accents would pronounce it. Try saying it as if you were the landlord at the Queen Vic
Ariella - agree with the areola comment?
Millicent - that nursery rhyme! Too twee, too awful
Helena - elegant and timeless. Like a lot
Eliana - also like a lot but there are a LOT of ellie/elle/ellas around and she is likely to get it shortened
Amynta - nope. Sounds like a boiled sweet with pretentions. Also looks like you meant Araminta but forgot how to spell it.
Serena - Lovely too
Louisa - much prefer without the 'o'
Annabella - ok but another ella sound
Annabelle - will forever correct those who spell it with a single l at the end
Erika - way too spiky
Antonia - i have an irrational dislike of this name and so cannot answer with any good reason. Please avoid!

Ariella has been taken out of the list (I know think of private parts whenever I look at it), Arielle has been put on the middle name list (love the name, but the washing powder...) and Erika has been changed to Erica.

Huh. Delphine does sound like the animal, but it is surprisingly charming.
Marielle? There is already a Maria and a Marielle in our family...
Jaqueline sounds to me personally like a bad version of Jaqueline. And I'm expecting to see a child with earrings or maybe a woman with straightened hair and a weirdly dyed hair. And a small yappy dog. Sorry!! Blush If I ever met a Jaquelina I'd certainly change my mind.

Oh gosh, living in England and my DMIL have started to make me think of the weirdest things Blush
