Well, it's a lovely name. And the flowers are beautiful. And DD's middle name is already a flower (but in Swedish). So, that would really work :)!!!

You can't have a "very" unique name, the same way you cannot have a more or less unique something.

It's either unique or it's not.

For it to me unique you have to make it up, because if someone somewhere has used it, then it's unique anymore.

Parents name their daughter Hecate and she changes her name to Emme, for example. Would be interesting.

But tbh, my name is probably in the "hecate" category (it's a real name but very rarely used...) and I didn't change it. (sorry, can't say the name. I'd honestly out myself)

According to the article, since 1984 there have been two baby boys named Superman and six named Gandalf in th UK too, so it's not just NZ! I wonder if they've kept their names or changed to something more ordinary, like you say. Would be interested to know. Maybe a former Superman is now on MN!

And here I know a guy whose parents had to go to court to name him "nico", seeing as officials thought it was short for Nicola/s.

And in Newzealand people named their son Superman. It would be rather facinating of he changed his name to William or something the day he turns 18.
