Why would it be an issue that someone wants a unique name

I think the issue is that many people do not seem to know what 'unique' means.

Salmotrutta · 11/03/2017 11:15

Tbf I think it's a bit of a moot point now, as I don't think the OP is coming back... They haven't said anything since the OP I don't think. It is their first and only post on MN as well by the looks of things, so all very mysterious!

At least we know how to define unique now though and 001 has found her true calling in life Wink.

reuset · 10/03/2017 21:53

aside from*

reuset · 10/03/2017 21:53

Why would it be an issue that someone wants a unique name

Fair enough. However, it would help if people knew how to define 'unique' aside the few pedants posters amongst us who have given real unique name suggestions. Grin

Fair few made up unique names for you now, OP. Anything take your fancy?

Where? Not in the UK there aren't. And if anybody tried to register them or something like it, it wouldn't be allowed.

I do love a mimosa, but it's not a name for a person, ffs.

Hmm this is fun :)
My daughter has a less-common but very traditional name. Last summer I discovered she doesn't like it a whole lot, something to do with the hard sounds in it, and I said, since you're about to change school it would be easy to change your nickname / known as name if you want to. So we had a lot of fun trying things out but no joy so she's stuck with what we gave her :) [she's 14 btw]
