Hi

what are peoples preference... we have Faye or Matilda for a girl and Angus or Albert for a boy

which ones please? No comments on any other names thanks, these are our final choices (been a battle narrowing them down!)

Thank you all :) It seems angus is a definite winner

Perhaps I can use Faye and keep Matilda for a possible second child (or the other way around)

All lovely but Faye and Angus.

Roseandbee · 03/03/2017 19:55

Matilda and Angus

early30smum · 01/03/2017 23:23

Matilda and Albert.

AbernathysFringe · 01/03/2017 23:03

Faye! Gorgeous. Warm, simple, lovely to say and written down.
Angus. I know a very cute one, so associate it with rosy cheeks, little chubby, friendly. Albert is sort of the opposite to me, sounds like a skinny grandpa! :D

DramaAlpaca · 01/03/2017 21:57

Faye and Angus here too.

DanGleballs · 01/03/2017 21:56

Angus definitely. Matilda for a girl but shortened to Mattie not Tilly.

mum2be2boys · 01/03/2017 21:53

Another vote for Faye and Agnus :-)

agnes158 · 01/03/2017 16:34

no it's not my name:)

OP. just noticed your user name contains "agnes". Hopefully that's not your actual name as I think that could be confusing if you go for Angus

marmitecheesetoast · 01/03/2017 14:43

Another vote for Faye and Angus here (Angus is currently on our boys shortlist - trying to convince DH!)

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 01/03/2017 13:34

Angus.

Don't like the other three.

agnes158 · 01/03/2017 13:34

wasn't that also a character in matilda greeeen? i do like it but makes me think of magnums

OP posts:
greeeen · 01/03/2017 13:32

Magnus? I prefer Matilda

Yika · 01/03/2017 13:31

Faye and Angus. I don't think Faye sounds dated at all.

agnes158 · 01/03/2017 13:30

yeah im not keen either pineapple. im also not keen on albie (just don't like ee sounding names) so i've almost veoted albert

OP posts:
PineapplePunch · 01/03/2017 13:28

Bertie is awful on anyone over 8.

agnes158 · 01/03/2017 13:28

interesting that it's got a 70's feel to it. i've never thought about it in terms of years

i don't think it's ever been popular (maybe there's a reason for that! haha)

but might be too many f's if i go with faye! Yes faye and matilda are very different...i don't mind that faye sounds dated as i like vintagey dated things. The thing with faye is that i've had that name in mind since i was about 15 and wrote it down so i remembered to call my daughter it if i had one. I like the name matilda as i love the book and i think it has a quirky feel to it- but i agree there are a lot of matildas around at the moment. i'm thinking i should go with faye as i've had the name in mind for so long

This is a world first for me but I'd like to say that I really like them all Grin

Not helpful but I thought I'd share.
