My name, dh's name and ds' name have all been mentioned. I wonder if dd's name will be.

I am not offended if people don't like our choice of names. I know a lot of people would probably think they are boring. I don't care!

paddypants13 · 27/02/2017 21:32

Trudie, Verity and Lesley/Leslie. No logical reason I don't know anyone with any of those names it's just the sound of them. They make me feel queasy.

I don't like Sarah or Elliott either but unfortunately that's because I associate them with deeply unpleasant people.

Ellieboolou27 · 27/02/2017 21:21

Mason, Jayden, kayden, Oliver and harry for boys
Lilly mai / Ellie may - any name with mai or rose after it makes me feel a bit green

Bibs2014 · 27/02/2017 21:01

Maude bleurgh

CaliforniaHorcrux · 27/02/2017 20:36

Erytreya Lol they could have at least chosen a democracy

I'm not very enthusiastic about Jude, Caroline or Michelle, or of using celeb names that become dated. No problem if the person was famous a long time ago but when people name their kid after someone currently popular like Beyonce or Rhianna I think meh, or in the 80s when suddenly loads of little Kylies and Charlenes appeared

Lflossy88 · 27/02/2017 20:26

Names where people have basically just added "isha" or "eesha" to the end of random sounds e.g Lanisha, Taneesha, Kelisha, Faleesha.. etc Hmm. Bleh

Inmyownlittlecorner · 27/02/2017 20:20

DM has always had an irrational hatred of the names James & Sarah. During every pregnancy Dsis & I have always be told not to use those names!!

copperpipe · 27/02/2017 19:09

Just checked back in to this thread and I think I might have a full house now!
Me (multiple times, first and middle name), OH, DD (first and occasionally hyphenated middle name), both of my brothers and now both of my parents. And childhood dog. And prospective DS.
Just goes to show, everyone has completely different tastes.

And to answer a PP, 🤣 no I am not a rapper!

Soubriquet · 27/02/2017 19:07

Oh I love Edith and Ivy. If I ever had another girl, it would be one of those names

What is this fashion with naming them after countries though?

I've seen an Erytreya...

KERALA1 · 27/02/2017 19:06

Why does everyone hate Jayden. Quite like that one.

The only names i mildly don't like are super popular "not another one" type names. Most of dds friends have the same name and people still using it! Some names are "full". Also names of people I don't like

The name Skyler makes me itch Grin

Owlish · 27/02/2017 19:01

My cousin has a grandson called Kamron. It's chavvy, but then, so is my cousin . Plus my autocorrect thinks it's wrong, too.

Gummibears · 27/02/2017 18:54

I really dislike Alfie and Archie!

theresamustgo · 27/02/2017 18:51

Alec. I don't know why. I don't like Alex for a boy either, which is odd because I like words with X usually. Also Alan gets my nose wrinkling.

dippyeggsfortea · 27/02/2017 18:40

Ah all my 3 DCs GrinGrin they're all on here!
