Flower names

Hi everyone, I wondered what everyone thought to using a flower as both first and second names? I love the name violet, and have an aunt lily id like to use as a second name. Does it sound stupid?

Hmm..
I think you risk it sounding like something off a paint chart.

"Yes the hallway is Violet Lily and the lounge is Willow Fern" etc.

I'd avoid if possible.
I think things like Lily Rose, Lily Belle, Daisy Rose are pretty grim but individually I like all of those names.
When they have a hyphen it makes me want to vomit.

How about Violet Lillian or Violet Lilith.

I agree with above, Lily Violet or Daisy Rose etc start sounding like wallpaper/paint charts/scents etc

Posted too soon, if you really want both names then I'd add another name so Violet Isabella Lily etc

Grin to clarify its not to use a double name just violet but yes I was thinking paint chart too!!!

No it sounds fine.
If you like Violet Lily then use it.
(Though Violet Liliana is pretty.)

Helsinki You could be a genius my mums name is Ann . Love the idea of adding another name too but could end up very long!

My DD's first name is Lily Rose.

A lot of people don't like it.

My DD has a flower first and middle name but everyone comments how nice it all sounds with the (double barrelled) surname. The middle name was chosen as it's sentimental but apart from on the birth certificate I don't envisage it being used in day to day life.

I grew up with three sisters, Primrose, Daisy & Holly. Their mother was Petunia. (Hope they don't mn)

It was only as an adult I cottoned on to the fact they were all flowers!
