Due our 3rd DD. DH has always wanted to call a DS Harry, for his grandad. It's unlikely we'll have more DC so thinking about Harriet. Honest opinions please! How common/popular is it?

Others that have popped to my mind are:
Charlotte
Polly
Pixie (3 yo DD suggested it but I think I like it!)
Lily

Harriet is lovely.
Harriet Pixie, your little daughter will love that ! It's really sweet.

Harriet/Harri/Harry - fine. Fairly popular, not top 10 though. Other names fine, though I prefer Harriet. Pixie is silly.

Nobody cares much about the verb 'to harry' given vast popularity of Harry, unless they're studying William the Conquerer or suchlike that is, and then only briefly Grin

I know two pre-school girls called Harriet. Nicknames Hattie and Harri

I know 2 Harriet's both get called Ettie. I think it's a lovely name and really if Ettie turns out to be too delicate of a nn then Harri might suit her perfectly!

I know of a Harriet and it really suits her - they were planning on calling her Harri but she's a Harriet, so a big Yes from me.

HandsomeBoys · 22/02/2017 22:12

Harri not Harris!!!

HandsomeBoys · 22/02/2017 22:12

Harriet on bc
Harris as a nn

Really like Pixie too

I prefer Charlotte and Pixie.

Harriet is a little harsh sounding and Harri sounds very much like the name Harry or the verb to harry.
