Old fashioned boys name to go with Miriam

I'm looking for a less common boys name that goes with Miriam. I'm terrible with actually liking any boys names

Matilda and Miriam (both lovely names btw) are from two completely different name families so I think you can chose from pretty much anywhere! You could do a whole 'M' thing with Malachai, Matthew or Milo.

I'm voting Bernard. Only because my Mum is Miriam and dad was Bernard. I can't imagine a Miriam without Bernie x

Why does it need to 'go' with Miriam? Nothing wrong with different styles. As long as it's not too similar, or derogatory, it doesn't matter, just choose something you both like.

I wouldn't spell 'Mable' like that.

So many suggestions thanks! I guess we are just old fashioned (not religious at all) our oldest is Matilda and then theirs Miriam. My husband is set on Mable if we have another girl, we have has Julian and Stanley on the list but lately have met quite a few Stanleys

Of the suggestions on here, the ones that really go with Miriam for me are Benedict and Barnaby.
