How to spell Isa/o/bel/le

My daughter's name will be Faith and her middle name will be Isa/obel.
Faith Isobel or Faith Isabel?
Which one do you prefer and which one sounds the best?
We don't like Isabelle with it and Isobelle was ruled out recently.

Her older siblings are Leo Duncan, Sophie Gemma and Beatrice Laura.
Please choose and say why.

Isabel - because that's my spelling Grin excellent name choice!

Sandsnake · 11/02/2017 18:49

Isabel, I think. Although I have a strong preference for both Isabel and Isobel over Isabelle.

BikeRunSki · 11/02/2017 18:48

I like Isobel best.
I know an Izobel which I hate!

reuset · 11/02/2017 18:46

I like the Scottish Isobel most of all, just how it looks, oddly enough. Isabel is fine, too (though I like the latinised Isabella more). Both from Elizabeth as we all know. Isabelle I don't like and I'm glad you've decided against. Usage more modern, but that is not the reason why I dislike.

OhPuddleducks · 11/02/2017 18:36

I've known a fair few Isa/o/bel/les. I'd go for Isobel if it were me, because of all the ones I know, she was the nicest and most successful. crap reasoning

harrietm87 · 11/02/2017 18:34

I like isobel

maybefallingapart · 11/02/2017 14:09

Isabel. I have one. But it gets spelt Isabel Isobel Isabelle izabelle and has been shortened to Izzy or Issy even though we don't shorten names here

Mrsknackered · 11/02/2017 13:54

I prefer Isobel by a lot!

AlwaysTheWinner · 11/02/2017 12:59

I prefer Isabel. It's a lovely name however it is spelt though!

stuckinthehouse · 11/02/2017 12:57

I think Isabelle is the nicest.

P1nkSparkles · 11/02/2017 03:26

Dd has Isobel as her middle name as I loved this spelling...

SuperBeagle · 11/02/2017 02:37

I prefer Isabel.

Faith Isabel.

Having said that, the two people I know with this name both spell it Isobel.

Sophronia · 10/02/2017 23:50

Isobel. I think Isobel Faith is nicer than Faith Isobel though.

EmilyDog1 · 10/02/2017 20:33

I personally prefer Isabelle myself but if you want to choose between the two, I prefer Isobel as Isabel looks like a misspelling of Isabelle to me.

tireddotcom72 · 10/02/2017 20:28

Isabelle to me it just looks posher - and it's dd name

Abetes · 10/02/2017 20:26

Isobel. More traditional I think.

BlahBlahBlahEtc · 10/02/2017 20:25

I like Isabel. Isobel looks strange to me for some reason.
Nice names btw Smile

HeyYouYesYou · 10/02/2017 20:21

Isobel, lovely Scottish spelling definitely.

Ordinarily · 10/02/2017 20:19

Isobel of the two, although Isabelle is my favourite spelling.

KlingybunFistelvase · 10/02/2017 20:14

I like Isobel best. I also love the name Faith! Beautiful choices OP.

mum2be2boys · 10/02/2017 18:56

Isabel. Not sure the reason why, it's just the spelling that automatically pops into my head when I hear the name.

NewtScamandersNaughtyNiffler · 10/02/2017 18:55

I prefer Isobel for no reason other than I do

Note3 · 10/02/2017 18:54

I prefer isabel. It's the traditional biblical spelling, Spain has a queen isabel and to me isobel reads as i-so-bel instead if is-o-bel

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 10/02/2017 18:52

I prefer Isobel but either is fine

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/02/2017 18:49

Isobel.
