Emily is so popular right now so I think people might end up saying/reading Emily rather than Emil.

Billy (would give the option of William as full name by putting that on birth cert, even if he's only ever known as Billy) - love it.

Both lovely but very different. I vote for Emil (gorgeous) but Billy/William is lovely, too.
