Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I actually really like Kevin and Gavin too.

Please don't name your child either of these if they're going to be living in the UK, Kevin especially.

GoosevonMoose · 03/02/2017 21:44

Chase if I had to pick. Maybe it's worth a rethink though for something slightly more international and not quite so American?

Grindelwaldswand · 03/02/2017 21:41

Peyton is my baby name for a boy if i were American or Greyson

sycamore54321 · 03/02/2017 21:39

Not a huge fan of any of them. Chase is what we used to call the schoolyard game where you, well, chased the others until you got one to tag. No idea if kids still call it that but if they do, I wouldn't like to be named the same as the most common game in the playground.

BorisJohnsonsHair · 03/02/2017 21:38

Not a fan of any of your choices, sorry. Are they fashionable in the US? They sound a bit old-fashioned to me (as do Kevin and Gavin)

CaoNiMa · 03/02/2017 21:35

Both names put me in mind of sun-worn lantern-jawed men from Arizona.

Triplesalco · 03/02/2017 21:33

Words that my great aunt said when my cousin named her son Chase.

"Not a name of a leader is it, she may as well have named him sheep"

Fixatif · 03/02/2017 21:33

Gavin! Gavin is an ace name.

DramaAlpaca · 03/02/2017 21:29

I really like Blake, but not the others.

Garnethair · 03/02/2017 21:28

Gavin

blackcherries · 03/02/2017 21:26

don't most people associate Blllaaaake with Amy Winehouse's ex? just me then.
Chase is the name of a bank. I do know a boy called Chase though, I can't really get over the name, sorry.
Cole is the best out of the ones you've mentioned

empirerecordsrocked · 03/02/2017 21:22

Cole is the best.

Marmalade85 · 03/02/2017 21:20

Yuck and yuck

KlingybunFistelvase · 03/02/2017 21:12

I like Cole but not Chase, Bryce, Reid or Chad.

everythingis · 03/02/2017 21:04

Chase. I know a gorgeous cheeky boy called chase

lizzieoak · 03/02/2017 21:03

I'm in the camp of "don't like last names as first names". Also Chase sounds like a verb to me.

What about Rhys - it has a similar sound?

Blake if you have to have one of those you suggested. Chase as second.

TBH these are all names I've read in American romance novels where all the blokes are buff and manly cowboy types.

All are better than Kevin which for some reason Americans are obsessed with?!

Plumbobbies · 03/02/2017 20:53

Through have been here 22 years Shock DH less time, but use lots of British words - my favourite being 'bloody' Grin

Yes! I like both Cole and Reid

OP posts:
Helspopje · 03/02/2017 20:49

Neither
Sound like american names that dont really work elsewhere unless you are the pioneer woman on food network- they have a Ladd Bryce and a Todd, i think

GreatScot8 · 03/02/2017 20:49

Chase.

There was a very sweet character named Chase in One Tree Hill, so it makes me think of him.

daisypond · 03/02/2017 20:49

Yep, I'm not keen on them at all. They sound really American and slightly odd to me - it's the "surname used as a first name" thing - but if that doesn't matter to you, go with what you like best. I think Blake is perhaps the best of your options, though I do think of Blake Carrington out of Dynasty. Chad just makes me think of the "hanging chads" to-do in the election.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 03/02/2017 20:48

OP, do you like Cole ?

Ilovecaindingle · 03/02/2017 20:48

I liked Chase. .
