What do you think of the name Hallie? Do you think it is a pretty name? I really love it but after looking at so many girls names they are all blending into one now!

Do you think it would be viewed negatively in any way?

Thanks in advance! :)

I'd assumed you'd misspelled Halle.

I assumed Halle was made up. Is it an established name? It doesn't really make phonetic sense, though if it comes from some particular language or context then that would change my mind. Why pronounce the 'e' as though it's a 'y'?

Hallie makes much better sense to me, though it's a sort of nickname name. I think it's quite nice! I know one Australian Hallie who's about 12.

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 19/02/2017 00:11

It sounds really naff to me

GrumpySausage · 19/02/2017 00:10

Like in The Big Bang theory!? (Howard and Bernadette)

Blossomdeary · 18/02/2017 23:28

It's a comet!

GreenTrafficLights · 18/02/2017 23:25

It makes me think of The Parent Trap movie and Halle Berry. It's quite American sounding and I think it's association with Hayley makes it sound a bit dated to me.

SovietKitsch · 18/02/2017 23:21

It's a bit American sounding for me

reuset · 18/02/2017 22:28

Sophronia · 02/02/2017 17:27

My cousin has a Hallie. I think it's sweet. It seems a bit nicknamey though because of the -ie. ending. I think it was originally a nn for Harriet.

busyrascal · 01/02/2017 20:56

I would misspell it as I would assume it was the same as Halle Berry

Bipbopbee · 01/02/2017 20:18

I don't like it (Halle or Hallie). It's just not a very nice sound to me. Reminds me of halitosis!

SellFridges · 01/02/2017 18:19

Halle is the spelling though I think?

Mumtobe137 · 01/02/2017 18:19

Hallie to rhyme with Sally x
