For a little boy? Pronounced Ree-gan?

Don't like it. Objectively I don't like it and it then makes me think of Ronald Regan. And he was a twat.

MrsMeeseeks · 31/01/2017 15:40

Exorcist/President

No.

Puremince · 31/01/2017 13:41

I've only heard this name in King Lear. I'd assume it was a girl.

seafoodeatit · 31/01/2017 12:35

Not a fan either, makes me think of Ronald but it's irrelevant what others think if you really like it.

ClaudiaApfelstrudel · 31/01/2017 12:22

Not a fan of this name. It reminds me first of Ronald Reagan, and second of Negan, a rather unwholesome character in the Walking Dead.

hoddtastic · 31/01/2017 12:17

Not my cuppa tea for either sex.

I often think which slebs used it- Paul Gascgoine's kid was called Regan...

it's not a nice sound to my ears either.

SasBel · 31/01/2017 12:09

Nope, it is King Lears awful daughter. Morgan is a lovely boys name thoughGrin

KlingybunFistelvase · 31/01/2017 12:07

I know of two people named Regan fwiw, one is a young man, the other is a woman in her thirties. Haven't met either of them though, they're friends of friends.

KlingybunFistelvase · 31/01/2017 12:06

No, I do not like the name Regan for a girl or a boy.

MiniMaxi · 31/01/2017 11:52

I don't I'm afraid, sorry

stickygotstuck · 31/01/2017 11:19

Sorry OP, but I also think immediately Ronald and the Exorcist - not good associations.

Frazzled2207 · 31/01/2017 11:09

I think Ronald.
Not keen.

mum2bejen · 31/01/2017 11:00

I'm not a big fan to be honest. It sounds too much like a surname to me. Never met a Regan though, boy or girl.

GreatScot8 · 30/01/2017 19:31

I thought it was a girl's name...

Alisvolatpropiis · 30/01/2017 18:13

King Lear, Exorcist. It's a girls name.

I live in Wales and have never met a male Regan. Plenty of male Morgan's though.

Hushabyelullaby · 30/01/2017 17:44

I automatically think of The Exorcist!

Loyly · 30/01/2017 17:41

No

RedSauce · 30/01/2017 17:41

It's a girl's name to me. I knew one once. She was a girl.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/01/2017 17:28

Yes, I like it, a good strong name,
Reminds me of the lovely John Thaw in The Sweeney.

DramaAlpaca · 30/01/2017 13:53

I don't mind it.

It does make me think of King Lear's daughter though.

DoWop2 · 30/01/2017 13:18

Not a fan, it's also a girl's name to me. As above, my connection is Regan as one of Lear's evil daughters.

NarkyMcDinkyChops · 30/01/2017 13:17

I'm not in Wales. And to me its a girls name.

But its ugly anyway.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 30/01/2017 13:16

I like Ray-gan for a girl, but not
Ree-gan for either gender

GoofyGoobers · 30/01/2017 13:11

I know a female Regan. (Ray-gan) I think it's a pretty unisex name.

TheLivingAsheth · 30/01/2017 13:10

I would think of it as a girl's name and I would associate it with head spinny girl in The Exorcist and King Lear's horrible daughter.
