I like it, very delicate and pretty but with a nice simple nickname she can use if she prefers.

IHaveBrilloHair · 30/01/2017 18:22

It sounds a bit Duggars to me, sorry, I also can't see her getting called that, it'll get shortened very quickly.

KittyVonCatsington · 30/01/2017 18:20

Jessamine is a beautiful name OP!

Jessamy is not a boy's name as said upthread-it actually appears in the Bible as a female and means 'Jasmine'. (My DD's middle name is Jessamy and was named after my great grandmother)

JRoo · 30/01/2017 18:16

I love it!

TheLivingAsheth · 30/01/2017 17:29

Anyone who thinks it is made up has not read Milly Molly Mandy. I think it's great. Little Girl Jessamine!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/01/2017 17:25

Really love it. Jessamine = classy !

CryingShame · 30/01/2017 14:04

It's a bit twee. Reminds me of Milly Molly Mandy so 1930s era

Sundance01 · 30/01/2017 13:55

My friends gave this to their daughter as a middle name - I like it - I may be wrong but I think one of Paul Wellers daughters are called Jessamine

F1GI · 30/01/2017 13:53

Jasmine, Jess, Jessie all nice

Jessamine looks like a mish mash of other names to me, sorry.

ScarletBegonia1234 · 30/01/2017 13:44

ChocoChou · 30/01/2017 13:42

I like the look of it :)

DramaAlpaca · 30/01/2017 13:41

I think it's gorgeous.

Moo31 · 30/01/2017 13:30

I like Jessa

Crispbutty · 30/01/2017 13:19

I prefer Jess or Jessie

Sophronia · 30/01/2017 13:18

I liked it until my DH mentioned it rhymes with 'specimen'. Jessamy is a nice alternative.

PersisFord · 30/01/2017 07:17

Gorgeous name. Very pretty and elegant.

ifigoup · 30/01/2017 07:14

Ignore the ignorant people who say it's made up, OP. It's a lovely, underused classic name.

BasinHaircut · 30/01/2017 07:01

Woman at work was called this and every morning when I saw her I started singing that song 'when Jesamine goes, a part of me knows, I'm not really living...'

OllyBJolly · 30/01/2017 07:01

It's not uncommon as a first name in Scotland, but heard it more often as a surname.

Lilaclily · 30/01/2017 07:00

I Google it and it's a plant so I guess it's a name , it's also a variant of jasmine according to google

Iris65 · 30/01/2017 07:00

I don't like it. Sorry.

Lilaclily · 30/01/2017 06:58

Also think it looks made up and is a bit try hard sorry

LapinR0se · 30/01/2017 06:58

Is that even a name?

FunnyBird · 30/01/2017 06:56

Beautiful name

TheoriginalLEM · 30/01/2017 06:53
