Lynn or Sky?

It will be Lynn or Sky (we don't like the extra unnecessary 'e' on either name).

I prefer the geographic spelling of Skye, though if I was going Scottish island I'd go Iona.

Lynn isn't a bad name, for me though there hasn't been enough time for it to come back. Sort of a sister to Debbie or Kathy & I'm not quite ready for them either - just as my mum would have seen Alfred or Violet as dated (but I love those).

Sky and Skylar are a bit try hard like Harper etc. And yes a bit common. Lynn is unusual in this day and age but if they rattle your cage go for either.

The "e" on Skye isn't unnecessary. Use Sky or Skye but maybe educate yourself on British geography because your OP was rude.

Regardless, Lynn is lovely and underused.

I'd like Sky better if it was called Skye like the island. Sky is a bit like calling her Water or Sea. (sorry)

Sky - pseudo hippy. Skye, the more popular choice, slightly better. Not keen on either, though.

Lynn - ok, but bear in mind on the dated side at present.

I prefer Lyn, whichever spelling. Agree with PP Sky is a bit chavvy.

My DD is Sukai, pronounced sky. Spelt the Japanese way.
