How old are they? Is it too popular?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
brusselssprouts · 28/01/2017 06:26

Only two:

one in her seventies and a bit rough/ salt of the earth type;
one in her sixties and naice.

I think it's a lovely name.

picklemepopcorn · 28/01/2017 06:28

Two, aged 9 and 2. And a middle name aged 14.

cariboo · 28/01/2017 06:39

I don't know anyone named Grace but I think it's a beautiful name. It was one of the names I considered for DD (now 16). She thinks it's an awful name so nothing lost there!

Phantommagic · 28/01/2017 06:45

I teach lots and lots of them. They are mostly 11-14 in age though so not sure if it is still popular. Pretty name. Congratulations!

Shockers · 28/01/2017 06:54

One of 22, one of 56 and DD's middle name is Grace (she's 18). Have worked in schools for 15 years and have never taught a Grace.

Shockers · 28/01/2017 06:57

Congratulations btw! Flowers

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 28/01/2017 07:03

10 and 27
I don't think it's that popular a name though, surely we all know hundreds of people so most people knowing a couple called Grace isn't that unusual.
Congratulations

flumpsnlumpsnstuff · 28/01/2017 07:13

There are two at the moment in the primary I work in, age 6 and 10. Quite a few more have it as a middle name though.

RustyBear · 28/01/2017 08:45

At the school where I work we have two in Year 6 and three Graces and a Gracie in Year 3.

mum2bejen · 28/01/2017 09:41

I know one Grace (10) and once Gracie (7), both lovely little girls!

Congratulations on your new arrival, if you love the name Grace then go for it :-)

Rainatnight · 28/01/2017 09:43

Congratulations!

I think Grace is absolutely beautiful. Elegant and timeless. I only know one adult Grace and she's one of the classiest people I know!

harderandharder2breathe · 28/01/2017 10:39

About 3, all aged 11/12

DragonNoodleCake · 28/01/2017 10:48

2! My own DD2 who is 5 and a work colleagues DD1 who is 1.

DH and I had picked possible girls and boys names for when DD2 arrived (we didn't know she was a DD) we were 100% sure on the DS name. We had two options for DD, I cradled her in my arms 10 seconds after she was born and looked at her with that rush of love and said 'well hello there Gr...' and bit my tongue, turned to DH and said I feel her name is Grace and DH said wow I was just about to say the same to you.

What I'm saying is sometimes you just 'feel' a name is right for a child.
Got to say didn't get the 'feeling' with DD1 but the circumstances were totally different - I'd been told she was a boy at scan. We also thought of a name then changed our minds an hour later 🙂

DragonNoodleCake · 28/01/2017 10:49

OP just saw your update - go with what you 'feel' you'll be using that name for many many years to come

Congrats x

MrsMeeseeks · 28/01/2017 14:38

Congratulations!

I don't know any little Graces. I used to work with a middle-aged one.

WhingingTulip · 28/01/2017 14:40

One, in her early 50's, beautiful - both inside and out - Polish lady.

autumngold6 · 28/01/2017 14:52

I think it's lovely. It's my daughter 's middle name, she's 25 and it wasn't popular when she was born.

reuset · 28/01/2017 16:41

3 x 5 years
1 x 12 years
1 x 14 years
