How old are they? Is it too popular?

Afreshstartplease · 28/01/2017 07:56

I think it's lovely

I know

One under a year
Three aged 4-5
One aged 9

Some of the above go by Gracie which I'm not so keen on

TotalPerspectiveVortex · 28/01/2017 07:55

Two. One is DSis, 25 one is a colleague and friend who's 27.

Mum8 · 28/01/2017 07:53

4, one under 4, one probably about 6, a teenager and a lady of about probably 30 years...

flumpsnlumpsnstuff · 28/01/2017 07:13

I have 3 in my Guide troop 11,12
And know 6 more 16, 22, and 30ish the rest

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 28/01/2017 07:03

10 and 27
I don't think it's that popular a name though, surely we all know hundreds of people so most people knowing a couple called Grace isn't that unusual.
Congratulations

Shockers · 28/01/2017 06:57

Congratulations btw! Flowers

Shockers · 28/01/2017 06:54

One of 22, one of 56 and DD's middle name is Grace (she's 18). Have worked in schools for 15 years and have never taught a Grace.

Phantommagic · 28/01/2017 06:45

I teach lots and lots of them. They are mostly 11-14 in age though so not sure if it is still popular. Pretty name. Congratulations!

cariboo · 28/01/2017 06:39

I don't know anyone named Grace but I think it's a beautiful name. It was one of the names I considered for DD (now 16). She thinks it's an awful name so nothing lost there!

picklemepopcorn · 28/01/2017 06:28

Two, aged 9 and 2. And a middle name aged 14.

brusselssprouts · 28/01/2017 06:26

Only two:

one in her seventies and a bit rough/ salt of the earth type;
one in her sixties and naice.

I think it's a lovely name.

PlugUgly · 28/01/2017 06:24

When my daughter arrived she also looked like a Grace so after 3 days we changed from the name we had picked out, she's 24 now and suits her name perfectly, go for it, lovely name that she likes too

OverAndAbove · 28/01/2017 06:23

I know four, of primary and early secondary school age.

But I know about another few dozen who have it as a middle name. It seems really popular as a middle name, presumably being one syllable only?

esiotrot2015 · 28/01/2017 06:23

Congratulations Flowers

I only know one

It's a lovely name

Pluto30 · 28/01/2017 06:21

One. She's 21.

That's despite the fact that it's a top 10 name where I live.

badhotfanny · 28/01/2017 06:20

I know one who is 9.

Dd2, 5, has it as a middle name.

In the high school where I teach, roll of c1000, there are probably about 5.

AutumnalLeaves38 · 28/01/2017 05:57

Many, many congratulations on your new arrival, OP, Flowers

If you instinctively felt Grace to be the 'right fit', then I'm sure that's what it is.

Beautiful name. Yes, popular, but deservedly so.

Willialwaysbelookeddownon · 28/01/2017 00:57

And they're all bloody lovely too.

Willialwaysbelookeddownon · 28/01/2017 00:57

Popularity wouldn't put me off Grace as its so beautiful.
I know 4 Grace's in their 20's and a 7 year old Gracie.

notangelinajolie · 28/01/2017 00:53

I know of 2 Graces. One age 15/16. She made my daughter's life hell in primary school. And the other was a lovely lady I worked with over 20 years ago. She'd be in her 80's now if she is still alive Congratulations, if she is a lovely as my friend she will be loved by all who meet her. Can't say the same for the other one ... lovely name though.

SloanyAnne · 28/01/2017 00:42

Both Grace's I know are delightful. Daughters a person would be lucky to have.
Congratulations on your new arrival. Enjoy Grin

BabyGirl17 · 28/01/2017 00:42

By 'this morning', I mean yesterday Grin thank you Smile

RockyBird · 28/01/2017 00:41

Daughter's friend, age 8
Mother's boyfriend's sister, approx 60

Huge congratulations and I think if she looks like a Grace, there's your answer Flowers

BabyGirl17 · 28/01/2017 00:39

Hmm, seems quite popular? Sad she arrived this morning and looks like a Grace!

KERALA1 · 28/01/2017 00:38

Lots. And weirdly they are all mean. Not a good association name in our house - both dds have an evil grace in their class.
