Middle name for Camilla?

Don't know if baby due in 8 weeks is boy or girl. Think we are set on Frederick for a boy and Camilla for a girl. Would Camilla Catherine work? This would be using Catherine after a family member. Not sure if this works so we are open to prettier middle name suggestions. Thanks

Ginny are you thinking of camellia? I don't think they're related...

GinnyWreckin · 11/01/2017 22:02

Well, it can't be sinensis. That would be green tea

Astrid / Aster
Theadora
Erica
Eugenia
all make sense botanically.

I think Catherine works! and it's lovely to have a family connection.
Or how about:
Camilla Violet
Camilla Josephine
Camilla Sophie
?

I love alliterative names and I think Camilla Catherine is the nicest out of all the suggestions.

Parker

Camilla is such a great name!

I vote for Camilla Vivienne

Having said that, I tend to think a middle name should be either connected to your family or have a meaning that's special to you rather than just sound good. For that reason I think Catherine is a lovely choice. That is just my personal preference.

Camilla Iris Catherine.

I was also going to suggest Catherine and Rose! But like you I'm not entirely sure Catherine works and Rose is very popular.

I actually quite like:

Camilla Jane
Camilla Elizabeth

Jane ? Alice?

I think it's pretty, but the fact they are two royal names did jump out at me immediately. Camilla is lovely and underused, don't go soft at the middle name and use the standard Rose/Grace!!

buttercup54321 · 10/01/2017 23:41

Roseann, Grace, Elizabeth. Alice, Kate, Louise, Sophie

ps2304 · 10/01/2017 18:53

I do like Camilla Grace

Actually not Camilla Skye as sounds like vanilla sky! Blush sorry.

geeup · 10/01/2017 18:39

Personally I quite like a soft start to the name after Camilla and nothing that ends in an "a" or a "y" or "ie" sound, such as
Camilla Estelle,
Camilla Grace,
Camilla Fleur,
Camilla Skye.
I quite like Camilla Catherine too, especially if she would be Milly as a nn - whatever you and your husband like!

ps2304 · 10/01/2017 18:29

Thank you everyone, I will read all suggestions to my husband tonight!
