I've seen a lot of this, and I love unusual names so I'm wondering what names you would have loved to use but couldnt/wouldnt go for it as its too out there?

for me it'd have to be some of the lesser heard of mythological names Smile

OP posts:

dh wanted Barney. I was talked out of agreeing by relatives on his side but secretly grew to love it and wish sometimes we had called our ds this. We struggled with boys names so if we have another we will be using barney!

I have 2 names on this thread for my dc!

If I had a fantasy final baby, her name would be Elke. It could only be a girl - I've had 5 already!!!

Ismene, Iolanthe, Phaedra, Riva, Calliope, Belladonna, Ebony, Hermione.

ACubed · 10/01/2017 20:28

Dusty, as in Springfield for a girl. It didn't pass my 'bullied at school' test in the end

InfinityPlusOne · 10/01/2017 20:27

Elodie

We aren't French and it would sound most peculiar with our surname but I do love it.

TabbyTurmoil · 10/01/2017 10:33

We don't have a daughter but i dont think we'd have been brave enough to use my favourite girls' name - Morven. We're not in Scotland and I think it would have set a daughter up for a lot of spelling and explaining.

1horatio · 10/01/2017 10:29

And I also liked Sapphire ;)

1horatio · 10/01/2017 10:28

Emeraude. I liked that one... ;)

thethoughtfox · 10/01/2017 07:47

Hoppinggreen · 10/01/2017 07:45
