What's your thoughts?

We are still TTC but have a deal that if lucky I pick a boys name DP picks the girl

I used to like it but now we are actually TTC I've gone completely off it lol.

I'm not sure.

it's Hal-Lee to pronounce it. Similar to Hayley

Thalia Rose is lovely.

Hallie is a nn for Harriet, isn't it?

OnNaturesCourse · 09/01/2017 01:06

Im thinking T-hal-lee-Ah (Thalia) Rose is pretty cute

I also like the name Hallie but I keep being reminded it's his choice lol.

I've had my boys name picked since I was a little girl so no doubt any kids we are lucky enough to have will be girls lol

I like Thalia and Talia. I also like Rosalie and love the name Rose.

I don't like Harley as for Arya? Don't. Not until the tv series or the books are finished. Just don't.

OnNaturesCourse · 09/01/2017 00:19

Omg I never even thought of that elQuin! oh dear!

I love the potential nickname of Tallie but I think people would pick it up as Callie?

His other name is Harley or Arya.... But I think there will be a influx of these names due to the films and TV show?

Pronounced tay-lee-a?

I knew one who was nicknamed Jenny by the whole rugby squad at university (she was studying sports and fitness science, so spent a lot of time around them).

Jenny. Talia. Genitalia.

I have been Confused about it ever since.

TheMortificadosDragon · 08/01/2017 23:24

Theres a lovely pure white narcissus called Thalia if you want a nice association.

StylishDuck · 08/01/2017 22:59

What about Leah as an alternative?

IDontWantThisOnFacebook · 08/01/2017 22:51

Love it, and would have had it for a girl but have boys, so will never get to use it.

I always think of Talia Shire from the Godfather. I know someone who has a 5yo called Tallia.

I don't like it. I know two and both of them have put me off it! They are both Tar-lia

paperdreams16 · 08/01/2017 22:40

It's lovely but as others have said she will forever be correcting people - I know two and one is Tar-lee-ah and one is Tally-ah.

SmileAndNod · 08/01/2017 20:22

Love it. Went to school with a Tah-lee-ah , she wasTally for short.

busyrascal · 08/01/2017 20:18

I would assume that it was short for Natalia

NennyNooNoo · 08/01/2017 20:08

I have only ever known one who is aged 12 so I think it's quite unusual. I imagine it could be frustrating if you choose to pronounce it Ta-lee-a with a short A as the girl I know does, as most people when they meet her call her Tar-lee-a and she is forever having to correct people.

ClaraVine66 · 08/01/2017 19:58

Love it!

sweetkitty · 08/01/2017 19:56

Love it but then again I should as it's my DD2s name. She really suits it as she's quite an unusual girl.

We pronounce it Tah-LEE-ah she gets annoyed when people call her Taylar or worse still Italia, she gets lots of lovely positive comments about it too.

JenTeale · 08/01/2017 19:53

I know a Tahlia, I think it's a Hebrew name - she's Jewish and the rest of the family have Hebrew names, I could be wrong though.

It's lovely. Unusual but not self-consciously so.

ineedamoreadultieradult · 08/01/2017 19:53

I prefer the Thaila spelling.

TobleroneBoo · 08/01/2017 19:51

I love it ( biased) but most people will
Say Tarlia

ferriswheel · 08/01/2017 19:47

I know a really lovely Thalia.

Pluto30 · 08/01/2017 19:46

I was bullied by a girl named Tahlia (this spelling), so I have an irrational dislike for it.

I know a little girl named just Tahli and I like that more.

BetweenTwoLungs · 08/01/2017 19:41

I taught one a while ago, I quite liked it.

Sophronia · 08/01/2017 19:38

I like it, prefer Thalia pronounced the same way though

OnNaturesCourse · 08/01/2017 19:32

ooo thrills I'm not sure... that could sway me however!
