I think we have finally decided on a shortlist for our DS, due in Feb. What do you think of these? To go with our surname, which rhymes with tardy and begins with an h :-)

Sebastian
Tobias
Rowan
Elias
Finn (too short?)

Middle name yet to be decided. Any other suggestions would be great too!

Thanks

Sebastian and Tobias are my favourites, and both sound great with your surname (Toby less so).

Pemba · 10/01/2017 04:12

Sebastian and Elias are my favourites. Finn is also nice, but there are loads around (and Finleys?). Tobias is fine. Rowan always seems girly to me, but obviously I know it's a male name too.

Roseandbee · 09/01/2017 23:54

love FINN

MollyHuaCha · 08/01/2017 18:40

Not Thomas with Hardy though...

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/01/2017 14:20

Sebastian Francis Hardy
Sebastian Louis Hardy
Sebastian Oliver Hardy
Sebastian Xavier Hardy
Sebastian Lucas Hardy
Sebastian Thomas Hardy
Sebastian Charles Hardy.
Sebastian Noah Hardy

Loyly · 08/01/2017 14:12

Sebastian

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 08/01/2017 14:10

Tobias or Sebastian.

SeasickCrocodile · 07/01/2017 00:56

Sebastian is the only one I like.

FixItUpChappie · 07/01/2017 00:44

I've always loved the name Elias

Sophronia · 07/01/2017 00:43

Elias

CakeRattleandRoll · 07/01/2017 00:16

Tobias or Elias.

OurVelocity · 06/01/2017 21:31

Thank you :-)

Tobias and Sebastian were our original two favourites, with the others coming more recently. Thankfully we still have time!

I like Rowan best, then Sebastian then Tobias. I don't think that Finn really works with your surname.

SausageSoda · 06/01/2017 20:45

I like Tobias and Sebastian the best - great names. Love Flynn but not Finn - too popular and is generally a nn for Finlay/Finley. Don't like Elias.

Manumission · 06/01/2017 20:44

Rowan or Finn

Jooni · 06/01/2017 20:43

In order of preference:

Tobias (agree that it sounds great with sn)
Elias
Sebastian
Finn
Rowan

NameChange30 · 06/01/2017 20:36

I like all of them apart from maybe Elias, but I don't hate it.

My favourite is Tobias / Toby (it was on my shortlist!) but I don't think it goes brilliantly with the surname... so I would vote for Sebastian or Rowan.

I think we have quite similar taste btw, so here are some other names I like:
Leo (I know it's popular but I still love it)
Ezra
Robin

bananaqueen · 06/01/2017 20:34

Sebastian!
This was our second choice but ended up going with Ethan :)

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 06/01/2017 20:34

Finn.

I was going to say yes to Ellis too until I noticed it was in fact Elias!

Lugeeta · 06/01/2017 20:33

I love them all except Finn which is really common at the moment and also doesn't really go with your surname. My favourite is Elias I think!

fanniboz · 06/01/2017 20:32

Tobias or Finn. I think Sebastian is a mouthful with your surname and don't like the other names

AlwaysTeaTime · 06/01/2017 20:31

Tobias is my favourite. Then Elias, but pronounced Ell-ee-us. Roman is a girls name here and Finn is dull. Flynn is better. Sebastian is okay

thedragonflyinn · 06/01/2017 20:31

Nice list, but don't like Rowan (I know a few female ones so that may be why).

I think they all go well with your surname but Sebastian is my favourite.

Mouthfulofquiz · 06/01/2017 20:30

Rowan T(H)ardy is a great name!

MollyHuaCha · 06/01/2017 20:29

Sebastian - love it
Tobias - love it
Rowan - ok
Elias - nice, but pronunciation will be different from different people Ell-ee-us / El-eye-us etc.
Finn (too short?) - yes, too short!
