We've recently found out that we are having a baby girl! I love, love, love the name Claire. We think it's gorgeous, very French sounding and uncommon. Her name would be Claire Victoria. My husband is in love as am I but I wanted to ask your opinions on Claire Victoria. We won't do Victoria Claire because I don't like Vicky or Tori. Her older sisters are Olivia Beatrice and Madeline Laura. Do you think Olivia, Madeline and Claire go well together?

Love it. My DD's middle name but spelled Clare.

Im clare elizabeth. Always been a bit sad i cant shorten my name bit seeing as my mum considered kylie it could have been worse!!

Both my DCs have names that were popular in the 70s/80s but that are barely used these days - I love that they have good solid sensible names that everyone has heard of, but that they are also not one of many in the class. And there is little danger of their names going out of fashion, because they are not in fashion in the first place Smile

Every Claire I have known has been lovely (child of 70's).

I think Claire's a nice choice. You love it, it's really recognisable and respectable without being at all popular now, and it goes well with big sisters' names. Claire Victoria sounds great.

My name's Clare. I hate it, but I don't think many people like their own names, do they. However that said. Its certainly not the worse name in the world and it'll be very refreshing in
a class full of Rubys,Evies,Avas, Islas and Lily-Maes

Couldn't do Clary because in my head it's a nickname for Clarissa!

How about Clary? A bit more unusual.
Claire is a bit 80s - I imagine her with a perm and shiny lipstick in Jackie magazine!!!!

Not too posh, just beautiful! Claire Emilia is my favourite- and I didn't make the Emilia Clarke connection, I just think it looks pretty as well as sounding nice. Lots to play with now and to pose to DH! She's going to have a beautiful name whatever you choose

Claire Emilia, Claire Ariana and Claire Arabella are divine. Gorgeous!!!
Is Claire Arabella too posh though? Claire Ariana is beautiful, I love, love it!
Claire Emilia is stunning but I bet DH will overrule it because of Emilia Clarke Angry. I love Claire Anastasia too but he'd outrule that because of 50 Shades. Oooh, Claire Emilia. Or Claire Ariana. Or Claire Arabella.

Claire Victoria is lovely. I don't like Clara and Clarissa although nice will end up as Clarrie.

I'm a Claire. They will always have to spell their name out if that matters to you at all. Even when replying to emails which clearly has my name in, they still call me Clare or Clair. I'm sure there are other names this is is true of but I always hated not being able to shorten my name when I was younger. Again this might not matter to you.

I like it! I was named Claire at birth (then adopted) and my mum wanted to call me Victoria but my dad wanted something else and he won :)

Ah sorry, I didn't read that far into your OP! In that case, all the names go really well. Have a look at other names with 4 syllables- with a one syllable first name you need something longer for rhythm

I like Claire, and not used much nowadays so growing up she won't encounter many others... it goes lovely with your other DDs names.
