Azura is a name that is very unique, and stands out. I think it's beautiful, and comes from "Azul" and "Azure" which both mean blue.

Asami is a Japanese name that means "morning beauty" and is also beautiful.

I'm a bit undecided on the middle name. Rose is beautiful and traditional, but Lily is equally as beautiful and not as common as rose but still quite common. I think a common middle name coupled with such a unique first name creates a lovely contrast.

I am more inclined to go with Lily as it works better in Japan (translates to Riri, Rose translates to Rozu) and I am moving to Japan in a couple of years.

So, which name?

Azura Rose
Asami Rose
Azura Lily
Asami Lily

Assami Rose sounds nicest to me

Azura sounds lovely and I've never heard of the cruise ship. In any case, it's not a negative connection.

Asami rose if you want something unique that will work in Japan... azura lily is beautiful but not really 'unique' IMO- I know two little Azura/Azures but no Asamis!

Azura Lily flows better than Azura Rose - too many 'R's in that.

Azura makes you think of beautiful blue skies, jewels etc. it's nice and also unusual. Can't really get my head around Asami.

ScarletSienna · 03/01/2017 23:28

Yeah, definitely Asami!

Assami rose, but assami Lilly would work too.

notangelinajolie · 03/01/2017 00:20

Asami Lily for the Japanese connection. It is also a beautiful name.

Azura is also beautiful but not for me because its the name of a cruise ship.

ScarletSienna · 03/01/2017 00:11

Asami Rose.

Azura is the name of a fairly well known cruise ship and so I wouldn't choose it for that reason.

Asami is lovely, especially with your connection to Japan.
