short girls names

With DC1 we found girls names easy but this time we don't agree! We know we want a short name (long surname) that doesnt end in "ie" or "ey" here is our current shortlist.
Niamh
Freya
Cora
Thea (I'm not keen as DC1 is Leo!)
Ada
Erin
Isla

Any other suggestions??

If you're keen on Beatrice with B as a nickname (both of which I love!) I know someone who simply called her daughter Bea and it's so lovely on her. Very cute but also good for when she's older. Or how about Phoebe and you could use the end bit of her name as a nn, B?

I keep wondering if Freya is a bit popular. Although having said that there are none in my boys reception class and I don't know anyone with a baby Freya yet I know 3 baby Niamhs!! Think I need to stop worrying about popularity.

I also think I need to stop thinking about names in an abstract sense and actually picture calling my baby that! Don't even know if we are having a girl but we agreed on a boys name easily! Finding this much harder this time round!

well for a start it was nice to see my name on one of those lists, maybe it's making a comeback? I never really hear it!! I liked Freya when I was pregnant with 1st dd but it was being used left right and centre so changed my mind!. I like Ava it's always been one of my favs I also like more old fashioned names like edith I also like orla, piper, Alice was also another name in the running for my 1st dd but didn't go with that either, Isla is a nice name.

I have a Piper. Hated the name when Dh suggested it but I bloody love it now! Often people mispronounce and call her Pippa which I also think is lovely. It's hard coming up with names I think it's such a huge responsibility

Iv'e got a Niamh but have always had problems with people pronouncing it, i had Erin or Niamh picked and went with Niamh but she loves Erin, always say's why didn't you choose Erin instead.

We considered Wren for our DD but someone on here suggested we considered whether she was likely to be petite and bird-like. The answer to that was a resounding no, and we went with one of the other names mentioned a couple of times above.

Still love the name though.

Thanks for the suggestions! Can't use Tess (one in close family) but that's lovely. Never heard of Wren!
