Good point, it's really pretty! And Scotland is so beautiful ( is it I awful to say that as an expat nature wise Scotland is my favourite part of the UK?🙈)

One of the reasons I really like the name Iona. Went there with my father before I even moved to the UK :)!

lottiegarbanzo · 03/01/2017 10:01

Skye, it's nicer.

Also, if you're in the UK, Skye is a Scottish Island your dd might visit one day (rather misty and bleak but with a famous mountain ridge and lovely enough in its way).

Madison, I've always understood to be a reference to a past American president, so I never really understand why a Brit would want to use it.

Skye

Very pretty

Or Skyler

Maddison, Know so many children called Skye its really commonly used

bookworm14 · 03/01/2017 07:32

Skye.

Madison is only seen as a girl's name now because it was used as a joke in the 80s film Splash.

Gallavich · 03/01/2017 06:57

Skye
But if you like madison then spell it with one D

DramaAlpaca · 02/01/2017 00:12

Skye

Aquamarine1029 · 01/01/2017 22:51

Skye for sure. I love the shortness and simplicity. Maddison is WAY overused.

WaitrosePigeon · 01/01/2017 22:20

Both pretty bad to be honest.

CakeRattleandRoll · 01/01/2017 15:21

Skye

MikeUniformMike · 01/01/2017 13:08

Maddison is awful sorry. Madison is slightly better.
A bit like Alison.

ViewBasket · 01/01/2017 12:48

I prefer Skye. Maddison is a bit harder sounding.

1horatio · 01/01/2017 12:13

Plus, Maddison means son of Maud, I think.

The meaning wouldn't put me off but it wouldn't make me like the name either...

Skye is nice, crisp and short and not overused. 👍

BigMamaFratelli · 01/01/2017 10:43

Skye. I know of at least half a dozen Maddison/Madisons which would put me off, plus I just prefer the name Skye.

Skye - Paw patrol factor

DontDeadOpenInside · 01/01/2017 08:19

I have a Maddison so that gets my vote

Sophronia · 01/01/2017 08:16

Pluto30 · 01/01/2017 01:03

Maddison.

But I prefer the spelling Madison.

Sweets101 · 01/01/2017 00:40

Oh unless she already has, in which case I can see your dilemma!

Sweets101 · 01/01/2017 00:40

Keep either and see which suits her best when she arrives
