I have an Edith! She's awesome Smile People tend to have strong reactions - they either love it, or they swallow hard and say "interesting name...Confused". But I adore it, to me it's strong and self confident and brave.

I love Edith - I think it's a cool, elegant name and Edie is lovely as a nickname. I think with these sort of names though, it comes down to personal taste - what is cool and elegant to one person is old-ladyish and fuddyduddy to another.

It is lovely - I had a clutch of maiden aunts and grandmothers called Edith, Ethel, Annie, Emily, Agnes etc. - lovely Victorian names - there were 10 of them! I had a job telling one from the other TBH - they were all tall and thin with white hair - take your pick!

My Grandmother was an Edith, always known as Edie which I prefer. Edith is a good name to use when she needs a telling off Smile.
