I think it's fine if you want to be the sort of family who embrace it!

If not then don't!

I love theatre but I wouldn't want to be the 'novelty' family so I wouldn't.

I would add Charlie & Billy too.

My DS loves the fact that he is actually Alexander as he's a bit obsessed with another certain musical (waves to Hercules Mulligan)

I think you can, they're all lovely names and I wouldn't immediately make the connection. And as you've got two out of the three already, you might as well go for it!
Would Oliver and Matilda ever be Ollie and Tilly as that would lessen the musicals effect?

It's fine! They're individuals and will be for the rest of their lives. I've never quite got why 'working' with siblings names matters so much.

DD1 was supposed to be Annie but thank god we changed at the last minute because she is now a curly redhead!

Heh - maybe if you didn't get Carmen, Mimi and Giovanni... Or Juliette, Romeo and Othello. I think not recognising musicals might make you super-cultured? Wink

Totally fine. It's not a bad connection and not that obvious anyway - all are very well-known names, it's not like they only have one association! All lovely names btw Smile

I have an Annie, it didn't occur to me about the film as she's named after family members but I have had a few comments.

I think they're beautiful names though so go for it!

I wouldn't see it as a problem. Sibling names are only really discussed / noticed when the children are small, aren't they? As an adult, I don't really have cause to talk about my siblings by name to people in my day to day life.
