Are you wanting to shorten it to Eli?
If so, I would use Elijah or Elias, not Elliot. Don't know why, but I just always find it doesn't quite make phonic sense when people shorten Elliot to Eli.

Really like Elias.

I wanted my youngest to be called Elliott - until his father mentioned he would be called "Elliott the Idiot". That totally put me off the name, even though there was no substance to it. We called him a more traditional name instead. -I still wish we had named him Elliott and his father wasn't such an idealistic pratt! -

I love the name Elias!

Elias! I love this name and wish I had thought of it for DS.

I know 3 baby Elliots born in November this year, and I know a lot of Elijahs too so I think they are more popular at the moment.

Elliot - a personal preference because I have a really good friend of that name.
