Emma or Holly.
Emmeline is nice too.

Oysterbabe · 17/12/2016 12:13

Personally I'm not keen on Leyci Macy Dayna Demi and Kyria but all the others are nice.

Yep. Leyci is particularly terrible, is it just misspelled Lacy?
Annabelle would be my choice from the rest.

Bigfam · 17/12/2016 08:01

Connie.
We very nearly called our 2 week old that. Love it

SorenaJ · 17/12/2016 08:00

Sorry, never deleted the original list. Reply is at the bottom! Congrats, OP Flowers

Roodolf · 17/12/2016 04:27

I love Emily, Francesca, Megan and Lucy.

Dislike Brooke, Macy, Demi, Dayna, Leyci.

Congratulations! Flowers Enjoy your newborn snuggles!

Manumission · 17/12/2016 04:03

Leyci (prefer the spelling Lacey or Lacy - Leyci looks like "lakey")

Oh is THAT what that says?!

My best guess was lay-chi Blush

Pluto30 · 17/12/2016 03:57

My favourite three (in order) would be:

  1. Lucy
  2. Emily
  3. Scarlet(t) - I prefer the spelling Scarlett because it removes the colour/scarlet woman association, and makes it more like Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With the Wind

Ones I'm neutral on:

  • Emma (prefer Emily, or just Emmy)
  • Millie
  • Macy
  • Holly (prefer Polly)

Ones I'm not keen on:

  • Brooke (outdated)
  • Leigh (outdated)
  • Leyci (prefer the spelling Lacey or Lacy - Leyci looks like "lakey")
  • Amy (outdated)
  • Alicia (outdated, and liable to being pronounced Aleesha)
  • Megan (outdated)
  • Annabelle (prefer the spelling Annabel, but this has always been too flowery/princessy/OTT for me, but I know I'm in the minority)
  • Fleur (sounds awful in my Australian accent)
  • Francesca (Fran and Franny are the likely nicknames and they're both awful - plus can't get past Catherine Tate's nan thinking that someone who named their baby Francesca actually named their baby "Tesco's")
  • Dayna (prefer the spelling Dana - I don't actually dislike this one, it's just a bit lacking compared with others on your list)
  • Demi (Moore or Lovato? Both annoying)
  • Kyria (not sure how to pronounce this)
  • Connie (objectively not a bad name, I've just never warmed to it)
  • Beatrice (sounds awful in my accent - two syllables: bee-triss, too close to beetroot)

Congrats! Flowers

Littleballerina · 17/12/2016 03:37

Fleur is my favorite but also like:
Lucy
Scarlet
Annabelle
Emily
Francesca
Millie
Connie
Beatrice

Least favourites are:
Brooke
Leigh
Leyci
Macy
Dayna
Demi
Kyria

Congratulations by the way!

Manumission · 17/12/2016 03:27

Scarlett is lovely, Charlotte is nice.

Megan, Millie and Beatrice are all pretty.

The rest are pretty much all either beige or horrendous.

(midsommer you are very naughty but that did make me snort.)

halabana · 17/12/2016 03:12

Beatrice, Connie or Dayna are lovely...

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 17/12/2016 03:01

Leigh is so pretty and due a revival as a first name.

Congratulations!

oldlaundbooth · 17/12/2016 02:58

Leigh or Beatrice. Faves.

midsomermurderess · 17/12/2016 02:39

Emily is so dull but so very beloved of the people who will click on this sort of thread. They must alll desperately establish their middle class credentials, like so many net-curtain-twitching 1950s matrons.

Nirvanababy · 17/12/2016 00:34

Emily is a beautiful name.

I have to say that Leyci is awful and she'll be constantly correcting her name.
Emma, Emily, Fleur and Connie are great
Megan will become Meg

Millie is super popular
Brooke feels very noughtis (along with chloe and zoe)
Again with the spelling Dayna would be out. And Leigh is a bit blah nowadays.
I have to stress that Leyci is awful and I keep pronouncing it Laychi

BeastofChristmasIsland · 17/12/2016 00:26

Like Emma, Amy, Emily, Francesca, Connie, Beatrice and Holly. All really nice.

Lucy, Alicia, Megan, Scarlet and Annabelle are all fine.

Not keen on Brooke, Leigh, Fleur or Millie.

Big fat no to Dayna, Demi and Kyria.

Leyci is horrendous.

CakeRattleandRoll · 17/12/2016 00:24

Favourite: Francesca and Alicia
Least: Leyci

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 17/12/2016 00:13

Millie, Alicia, Emily, Megan, Amy, Beatrice are all lovely.

Holly, Francesca, Lucy, Emma are fine. I even quite like Dayna (x files fan)

Not keen on the others. Leyci looks like a made up name.

Sophronia · 17/12/2016 00:07

Macy sorry, not Mary!

Sophronia · 17/12/2016 00:04

I like Beatrice, Emma, Emily, Lucy, Connie and Annabelle.

Don't like Leyci, Mary, Dayna, Demi and Kyria at all.

TheTartOfAsgard · 16/12/2016 23:47

Francesca is beautiful, I'm stealing it for my list.

Congratulations Flowers
