We found out today that dc2 is a boy. It has really thrown us as i was not expecting a boy due to being from a family full of girls! We already have a dd who is 4. We had a name already if dc2 was a girl and hadnt really given boy names a thought!

So please give me some ideas.

If I had a boy (which I won't I'm now 44) but Already have a DS ages 21 called James David.

If I had another it would be Edward Leno but would be called "Teddy".
Both names have strong family meaning but I absolutely love traditional.

Btw a girl I would call Meannee (pronounced miani) Very personal family name. My late, very favourite uncles middle name.

What about Lucas? The name we ended up choosing for DD2 had been mentioned but I wasn't sure. However, when I saw her the names we had in mind for a girl seemed not to suit her AT ALL. Sometimes it's really best to wait and see before getting hung up on a name.

Themistocles and Leonidas.

Its probably best we had girls :-)

skyyequake · 17/12/2016 18:15

BobbieDog maybe have a look through some baby name sites and find some names that you at least like, if not love, and then make a thread asking for names based on those... Just asking for boys names in general, well, there's a lot of them! So it'd be quite lucky if someone stumbled upon your perfect name in 50 comments...

I'm using Gabriel for a boy. And giving him Patrick for his middle name. Patrick is in honour of my mum.
I like strong names. Such as
Tom
Paul
Kevin
None of those faddy names.
