George

Buntysoven · 14/12/2016 00:50

Adam is my favourite and least favourite is Harris because it's slang for bum and reminds me of Rolf who my mum was obsessed by until...you know.

CakeRattleandRoll · 14/12/2016 00:35

My favourites are: George, Matthew, Aaron and Harris

dotdotdotmustdash · 13/12/2016 23:28

I vote Ben.

HearTheThunderRoar · 13/12/2016 23:24

My favourite is Layton, although I prefer it spelt Lleyton.

I also like Sam and Corey.

Travis makes me think of Travis Nash off Home and Away Grin

EverySongbirdSays · 13/12/2016 20:47

I'm going to cross out what I'd never use
Liam
Travis
Matthew
Colin
Dean (but only because I hate someone called Dean)
Layton
Corey
Oliver
Sam
Josh
Trent
Hogan
Fox
Tom
Tanner
Brad
Rhys
Aaron
Scott
Ryan
Adam
Kaine
Harris
Harrison
Redmand
Brodie

I'd probably pick Matthew, Tom, or Sam

Popularcontrarian · 13/12/2016 20:45

SpeckledyBanana · 13/12/2016 20:32

If I have a male cat I'd call him Colin.

Lizziedoll · 13/12/2016 20:31

Liam!

MinesAGin · 13/12/2016 20:23

You seem confused between classic names, names that are very popular and names that belong in Mills & Boon books.

Classic:

George
James
Matthew
Oliver
Sam
Tom
Adam

Mills & Boon

Travis
Layton
Trent
Hogan
Fox
Tanner
Brad
Kaine
Harris
Harrison
Redmand
Brodie

And then you have Colin! I didn't think anyone had been called Colin for decades!

SpeckledyBanana · 13/12/2016 20:18

Sam(uel)

Pluto30 · 13/12/2016 20:17

Like:

  • George
  • James
  • Matthew
  • Oliver
  • Sam (prefer it as a nickname for Samuel, but I love it on its own too)
  • Josh (also prefer as a nickname for Joshua)
  • Tom (also prefer as a nickname for Thomas)
  • Scott
  • Harris
  • Harrison

Neutral:

  • Liam
  • Leon
  • Adam

Dislike:

  • Travis (outdated)
  • Colin (outdated)
  • Dean (short, harsh sounding)
  • Layton (Hewitt)
  • Corey (outdated)
  • Trent (outdated)
  • Hogan (Hulk or Paul?)
  • Fox
  • Tanner (very American sounding)
  • Brad (outdated)
  • Rhys (just don't like it)
  • Aaron (outdated)
  • Ryan (outdated)
  • Kaine (every Cain I've known has been the definition of feral)
  • Redmand (don't like, prefer Edmund)
  • Brodie (outdated)

I think Fox works well as a middle name though. Middle names can be unconventional.

AnnetteKertan · 13/12/2016 19:18

NapQueen · 13/12/2016 19:03

Top 3
Travis (because I have one, Travis Leo, which I much prefer to leon)
Scott (also on our list!)
Tom (DHS name)

We also loved Fox and we're going to use it as Travis' middle name but DD made a look comment about ds so we chose Leo.

PrincessOnTheInternet · 13/12/2016 19:00

Layton is the surname of a Nintendo video game character Professor Layton if that puts you off?
Favourite name is James !

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/12/2016 18:59

I'd keep.
James.
Tom
Aaron
Adam
Liam.
Corey and Layton are not normally my style of names, but. There is something appealing about them .
Fox is quite nice, but a bit risky for a teenage boy. Do you not think.
Hes not going to stay a cute little baby forever

SassyPants19 · 13/12/2016 18:58

Loving Fox and Tanner!

TheWildRumpyPumpus · 13/12/2016 18:54

James or Oliver for me. There are others which are OK but some which are not my taste at all!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 13/12/2016 18:53

Love Matthew and Adam

stumblymonkey · 13/12/2016 18:52

More seriously...just my opinions...

Liam - no as reminds me of the Gallagher
George - bit overdone due to Royal babe
James - I like this (biased as DPs name)
Leon - not my cup of tea
Travis - not my cup of tea either
Matthew - I love
Colin - the world's not ready for Colin to make a comeback as a name yet
Dean - makes me think of Dean Gaffney, not a good association
Layton - quite like this
Corey - quite like this
Oliver - meh
Sam - meh
Josh - quite like this
Trent - not for me, sounds like an American brat
Hogan - like Hulk Hogan? Not for me
Fox - I luffs foxes
Tom - meh
Tanner - another American brat
Brad - ditto
Rhys - I like this
Aaron - American brat effect
Scott - don't like, sounds a bit 80s child
Ryan - meh
Adam - quite like this
Kaine - not for me
Harris - I love this one
Harrison - I love the name Harrison
Redmand - least favourite
Brodie - meh

Hope I don't offend, just my personal opinions which mean nothing!
