Heidi or Robyn?

DD1 due in February and I think we've (eventually) agreed on 2 names. We love Heidi and Robyn. Cons for Heidi is it doesn't sound as great with our surname (but not a deal breaker) and with Robyn, I'm not a bit fan of y's replacing i's in names but Robin to me as a boys name so we would spell Robyn. Favourite?

Heidi by far.
I have a 1 year old called Heidi

Kelsey28 · 23/12/2016 10:03

I have never considered Robyn but adding it to my list! Gorgeous name

Tubbyinthehottub · 21/12/2016 12:02

Heidi is better. Not keen on Robyn especially that spelling.

Jooni · 21/12/2016 11:44

Definitely Heidi.

I like Robin for a boy a lot but for some reason I'm not at all keen on it for a girl, however you spell it.

Heidi Robyn works nicely though, unless you want to save whichever you don't use for a future daughter.

Pigsbum · 21/12/2016 11:23

Robyn

Nospringflower · 21/12/2016 11:14

Heidi. I am really not keen on Robyn.

RueDeDay · 21/12/2016 11:10

Heidi, every time.

Ulysses · 21/12/2016 11:09

DDs middle name is Robyn, after my DGM who was Robina. I guess Robina is possibly the correct female form of Robin but I prefer Robyn. Heidi is a lovely name and I do know another one but it is fairly rare.

lovelearning · 21/12/2016 11:04

Heidi.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 21/12/2016 11:04

I love Robyn.

MuppetsChristmasCarol · 21/12/2016 10:59

Heidi Robin Surname. Sorted.

Gorgeous names. My DS has Robin as a middle name. Smile

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 21/12/2016 10:49

Heidi.

MissisBee · 21/12/2016 09:40

Love them both. I would be odd and spell it Robin for a girl, I know it's more unusual but I think it looks nicer

m0therofdragons · 20/12/2016 22:08

I have a Heidi and I love the name. Get lots of compliments.

Thatwaslulu · 20/12/2016 22:07

I used to work with someone called Heidi Cokayne. Looks fine but say it out loud Grin I didn't like her much so it has put me off the name.

I think Robyn is a really sweet name.

SparklingPearls · 20/12/2016 22:04

We have a little lady named Heidi & still adore her name.

Haven't met another.

It's beautiful.

HerRoyalNotness · 12/12/2016 01:43

Heidi

Love that

nooka · 12/12/2016 01:41

I like Robin, but really dislike Robyn because I think it looks really odd and misspelled with the 'y'. I know that Robin is really a form of Robert, but it always makes me think of the bird, so I think it should be spelled that way.

Heidi is quite nice but I do very much think of it as a Swiss/German name and would probably expect a Heidi to have long blond plaits :)

Jw35 · 12/12/2016 01:38

Robyn

UnsuccessfullyAdulting · 12/12/2016 00:17

Robyn.

And Heidi.

Oh God. Both are gorgeous. I cannot help you.

Heidi Robyn? misses point

onecurrantbun1 · 12/12/2016 00:15

I love them both. Both were on our short list (we picked one of them!)

swimmerforlife · 11/12/2016 23:56

Heidi by a country mile.

SausageSoda · 11/12/2016 23:14

If picking between the two - Heidi by a long way.

n0ne · 11/12/2016 22:25

Ellieboolou27 · 11/12/2016 22:21
