Which do you prefer?

And how inevitable do you think the nickname "Jules" is?

Both really nice

Prefer Julia

talisman101 · 05/12/2016 13:21

Julia !

Enkopkaffetak · 05/12/2016 11:14

I prefer Julia to Juliet and if it was to be Juliet I prefer the French way of Juliette

IMO nm only happens if you permit them.

Gruffalosfriend · 05/12/2016 09:41

Julia!

Jooni · 05/12/2016 08:51

Juliet. And I like Jules, but agree that this way you could use Ettie/Etta instead.

Bellaposy · 05/12/2016 03:37

Juliet. My parents have a friend called Juliet who is known as Jet. She's quirky, independent and completely suits the nickname.

MakeItStopNeville · 05/12/2016 03:32

I'm in the States and Julia is hugely popular over here. All the (teenage) Julia's I know are called Jules for short. It's a lovely name though!

lemonpoppyseed · 05/12/2016 02:55

My Juliet is a Jet, sometimes a Juju and never a Jules. I also like the French spelling, Juliette.

LackOfAdhesiveDucks · 05/12/2016 01:36

I'm a Julia and only a handful of people call me Jules. I like my name but also really like Juliet.

AnnieAnoniMouse · 05/12/2016 01:28

Out of the two Juliet - but neither would be in my top 10.

Sorry 💐

Shemozzle · 05/12/2016 01:24

Juliet. I think it's cute but suits all ages. Julia I like but I instantly think of an adult not a little girl.

Pluto30 · 05/12/2016 00:03

mend Nothing's wrong with Jules, I just associate it men, or older women, for some reason. I have a friend named Julian who has always been Jules, so that may be why. Smile

Julia ,but I like Juliet too.

BadToTheBone · 04/12/2016 23:16

Juliet

mendandmakedo · 04/12/2016 23:02

What's wrong with a nn of Jules?

rainbow99 · 04/12/2016 22:56

Juliet - much nicer and also nn options other than the inevitable Jules

EweAreHere · 04/12/2016 21:40

Juliet. Just so pretty.

SausageSoda · 04/12/2016 21:37

Juliet - lovely name.

Not keen on Julia I think Julia would be more likely to get shortened maybe.

Meeep · 04/12/2016 21:03

I used to like Juliet, that was on my list when I had DD, but now I much much prefer Julia.

BikeRunSki · 04/12/2016 20:59

Juliet. My fantasy twin DDs are called Josephine and Juliet.

LynetteScavo · 04/12/2016 20:57

Juliet is far nicer Smile

serialbunburyist · 04/12/2016 20:49

Juliet. I know one who goes by Leti, which I really like.

aurorie11 · 04/12/2016 20:44

I know a Julia she is a Jules
I have a Juliet, her family nickname is Ettie. Her brother used to call her Ju-Ju et

NamelessEnsign · 04/12/2016 20:44

Both are lovely and uncommon but not usual.

You occasionally hear of 'Jet' as short for Juliet, of which I am rather fond.

GraceGrape · 04/12/2016 20:42

I like them both, but if I had another DD I would call her Julia.
