I LOVE this name and DH thinks it's really cool but I worry that it's actually going to just be a stupid choice. I can't imagine that it would be particularly we'll received by our families Grin
Neither of us has any scandi heritage either if that's relevant, it's just a name that we like. Are we mad??
We have a Leo already

My hairdresser is called Axel Grin he's English and it suits him fine.

MrsFrankieHeck · 03/12/2016 21:27

Do it.

TheTartOfAsgard · 03/12/2016 21:26

It's quite popular in Australia but it is an awesome name.

crayfish · 03/12/2016 21:22

Oh no, it's awful I'm afraid.

DearMrDilkington · 03/12/2016 21:21

I love Axel. It goes lovely with Leo too.

DramaAlpaca · 03/12/2016 21:20

My friend has one, but she's Scandinavian.

I think it goes quite well with Leo, actually.

ThisPasadenaHomemaker · 03/12/2016 21:20

I think it's godawful. Harsh sounding and gimmicky and not in any way classy.

Leo is a nice, inoffensive name. Leo and Axel sounds bizarre as a pair of brothers.

ILoveAGoodBrusselSprout · 03/12/2016 21:18

I love, love, love it!

It was such a close second for our DS. We backed down last minute and called him a lovely, similar but traditional name instead. He is such a character, though, I feel he could have pulled it off and I do regret it a little. Go for it!

braceybracegirl · 03/12/2016 21:18

No. Just No.

RedStripeIassie · 03/12/2016 21:17

Axel and Leo sound good together. I like it.

SpeckledyBanana · 03/12/2016 21:17

I rather like it though Grin use it!

Mum2jenny · 03/12/2016 21:16

Quite mad.

Axel rose could pull it off. But don't think many other people could.
