Son has the name of a celebrity... I didn't realise.

I don't watch much TV, so didn't watch this program. Really gutted.

He's 8 months, but no one has really ever said anything. I've had a few "oh, like..." but I've just smiled, thinking "who?" and just got on with my day.

Would you change it?

I don't really know who Louis Walsh is. I've got an idea he's got dark hair and glasses and is a judge on some show. But all that could be wrong.

One of my friends is married to a Jimmy Saville. It's extremely unfortunate. He tries to go by James now but it's just so natural to call him Jimmy. The loveliest man too, he's 32.

If it's any consolation my DH and DS are much worse off and I didn't realise til DS was about 3 days old, by which point I thought he suited his name so just left it.

I think there is man who writes about beer in one of the Sunday papers called Michael Jackson, it is such an ordinary name, not surprising names get repeated, I am sure his family and friends never associate him with other MJ.

I'm sorry but the other Louis Walsh is very very famous at the moment. I would expect those who haven't heard of him in the UK would be the small minority. Even my non British dh who doesn't ever watch popular TV knows him

But so the fuck what? It's a lovely name and your Louis is a baby with his own name. The other Louis is already beyond retirement age. By the time your Louis gets to teenagehood the other Louis will be in his retirement home and everyone will have forgotten all about him.

Enjoy your lovely Louis with his lovely name.

My son used to be at primary school with a Louis Walsh. He is 19/20 so named before the other one was well known in this country. He moved to the school aged 10 when X-Factor had been going a couple of years, there was some mild amusement about his name at first, but nothing much was said.
