Francesca Rose (I am biased though Smile) I think Gabriella is nice but don't like Gabby which for me would be the natural shortening. Having said that I don't like Fran but there are lots of other nn options to choose from for Francesca, Frankie, Cesca, Cescy, Chess, Chessie to name but a few!

Francesca Rose, definitely. Lovely names, and now can be made more juvenile for cute kiddy nicknames (frannie!), elegant for when she grows up.

Do you have a preference for shortenings? My DD1's friends call her something I hate. Doesn't matter of course. Just a thought.
