How do you pronounce Charlotte?

To rhyme with plot or with the same sound as the ending of toilet?

To rhyme with harlot and scarlet. So the second syllable is a "schwa" sound (you can google that if you don't know what it is - it's useful info!).

I've never heard anybody pronounce it with LOT to rhyme with plot. And I've known quite a few Charlottes!

In my head it sounds like Char-Lott to rhyme with it but I've just said it aloud and it actually sounds more like Char-let. Hmm.

See. My friends all pronounce it lut and I pronounce it lot. Knew there were others like me!

My Mum says Shar lut.
