Is it weird to name my daughter April if she will be born in March?

I love the name April but she will definitely be born in March, is this strange?

I think it would lack originality if she was actually born in April! It's a nice name otherwise though. It would not occur to me that a holly might be born in December or a summer has a summer birthday, at all! It's just a name!

I love April, but I have a slight obsession with that month (lots of good anniversary's and events happen that month for me personally). It would be weird if she were born in April and named April though. Could be seen as predictable likes others have said. Congratulations too! Smile

Yes the March in Aunt March was her surname (and the girls'). They were very formal in Concord in the mid 19th century Grin

Call her March? The aunt in Little Women was called this, the one that left Jo the legacy IIRC.

It's just a bit weird, but then again, I used to work with a woman called May (born in May) who had daughters called April (born in April) and June (born in June) it's her poor son, November, I felt most sorry for

April is a name in its own right so I don't think it'd be that odd.

If anything I think naming an April baby April is a bit predictable, I'd probably avoid that more!

I wouldn't think it weird. If I ever met an April it wouldn't occur to me to assume that she was also born in April. Hate Avril though.

Yes. I am equally confused by winter born girls called Summer and summer born girls called Holly though.
